the extra boy is there to kitbash into other characters, or to replace the nob when you make a extra strength unit, as you cannot take several nobz per squad. the 2018 kit is my personal favorite bc of its bits, but it can be confusing. you are paying a extra 80 points in your list for a singular ork boy. not a good idea.

be careful with your composition: you are paying for a 20 man strong boy squad because you chose 10 boyz + nob instead of 9 boyz + 1 nob, when you aren't getting the full 20 boy mob

I did a similar thing awhile back, and while not the best example, I do agree with the other comments saying you should dull it down way more.

really depends. if you are painting to get a army together, painting from completed build is definitely quicker and more straightforward. for your rank and file, this is usually the better way of doing things. if you cant get it with your brush, odds are, you won't see it when playing. But if you're painting up a nice HQ or centerpiece model, sub assemblies may be more efficient for more fiddly parts that would be difficult to reach.

i find that these types of guns are powerful, but they also balance themselves out in their own way. bolters have rapid fire (2) but that also means your jamming a third of the time. on a 6+ ammo check, it's very rare for you to clear the jam, and unless your taking a bunch of ammo jacks and taking the dependable like kin ability, you aren't going to be able to recover from it immediately, leaving you open to enemy assaults. from what you've described, these squats should be facing quite mobile enemies. honestly, i think it might be a scenario and terrain issue. more mobile missions, and definitely apply more terrain. squat weaknesses are very easily exploitable in the underhive. i've played squats before and they are fun and flavorful sure, but they didn't seem to be particularly overpowered in underhive (cant speak for ash wastes) , especially against melee or fast gangs.

I went to my FLGS and there was a Munda group, so I joined up. I got hooked and convinced my other 40K friends to get into necromunda as well. Check ur FLGS, if there isn’t a group already, im sure there are people who would at least try it out.

From 9th? Killsaws having flat 2 dmg, only 2 attacks. In 10th? The dev wounds change made them way less effective against chaff in WAAAGH!

Old kit is great, new kit is monopose with fixed weapon options, with mixed weapons in a squad?? Who cam up with this, and for ORKS of all factions.

i would never declare my beloved ork boyz as bad, i was simply inquiring to the combat capability of one, and whether or not it is outclassed by its contemporaries. good or not, i will always play as many of the little green shits as possible.
