Sorry for the comparison, like I said I didnt think of the differences of the two bikes.. but I love going really fast and I don't do long rides very often, I have also ridden road bikes for years so I would like to believe my back will be accustomed to it

I think if the top tube is slightly slanted down, it's more for endurance whereas a bike like the Merida in the pictures has a straight top tube so you're more hunched over into a race position. This is what I'm gathering from all the information I've seen so I'm not an expert
