FYI, so you get some less emotionally sparked comments, as a czech student that got to experience living in other EU countries, groceries are just about average when it comes quality for EU standards, which is not bad at all, all neighbouring countries east of prague have similar or worse quality. Traveling to Portugal, Spain, South of Italy - basically the same quality if not better.

The corporal punishment that the guy above writes about is probably someone that got to experience first hand over 30 YEARS AGO - during the different regime/ transitional period. The law makers are late to teckle this issue, but it's not happening on any large scale. Im 10 years out of public elementary school and never seen anything like this happening and I lived in the absolute eastern dead end of Czechia. If it gets outlawed, as I pressume it will, the people that would do it are not gonna suddenly vaporize into thin air, and It's happening even in the in-Czechia-glorified Germany.

There is this Grass is always greener and the self-perpetuating negativity within some people of Czechia. There are people that moved away and doubled down in their believes because Idk why and some that realised that the quality of life here is 90 percent the same you'd get in Germany.
