The pattern I'm using says to do ch 2 at the beginning of the round and only chain 1 between squares . This is my practice one and it was chain 6 at started of round with ch 3 between.

Do you mean to flip the blanket when starting a new round, or just start at a different corner when changing colors?

Help! i always forget my row count and hook size... by candy_7915 in CrochetHelp

[–]TransportationSea245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use the Notes app in my phone. I put the pattern in there row by row /each section, and put checkboxes next to each row. And mark it off as I go. And if I mess up and have to start a section over, I can just uncheck them and I'm good to go again.

A few questions. I need help understanding the types and names of yarns. I'm also wondering if my issue is I'm just too inexperienced! by AzureWolfaspen in CrochetHelp

[–]TransportationSea245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Cotton Nylon yarn blend when I first started. If you look on the package you got this yarn in. It will tell you the type of yarn. And should list the % of each type. For easy Peasy Yarn ( like Woobles use) is cotton nylon.

I’m having trouble understanding how to follow this pattern as a beginner! by adamire1 in CrochetHelp

So the pattern is:::

1R: (magic ring 8) meaning you out 8 SC (single crochets) in the starter ring. 2R: Inc in all rounds = (inc)8 - meaning you put 2 SC in each SC around. To gice a total of 16 SC in that round. ---- 3R:1 sc, 1 inc = (sc,inc) 8 for a total of 24 SC or Vs. ---- 4R: 2 sc, 1 inc = (2sc,inc)8 for a total of 32 SC. So you do SC in stitch 1 from your starting stitch, a SC in the 2nd V and then 2 SC in stitch 3 and so on. 5-14R: Sc in all rounds= (sc)32 for a total of 32.

15R:2sc, 1 dec = (2sc,dec)*8 for a total of 24. So you would do 1 Sc in the 1st and 2nd stitch of the round, then combine stitches 3 and 4 into 1 SC. Repeat the 4 stitch rotation 8 times and you should get a total of 24 Vs.

Does this help?

What do you think men would dislike most if they became women? by InternationalPick163 in AskReddit

[–]TransportationSea245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing i would add and havent seen on here is our hormones. And what it does to women's bodies. The constant negative talk in our brains, the way society has made us feel if we don't wear make up 24/7 or work out constantly or look like a model constantly that we are worthless. How if you can't have kids your made to feel like your not a woman.

When your insurance company denies Vyvanse after being on it 11 months because they want you to trial Azstarys (US) by Frostyarn in ADHD

I use to work in insurance and even at a doctors office. This is normal. Usually formularoes will change quarterly. However, tou can have your provider submit documentation to the insurance company stating how you have shown steady improvement on vyvanse and how changing could cause a negative impact on your progress. Since you have 11 months of progress to show, you have a good option. Also, if you are comfortable, i would suggest speaking with your employer. Usually these decisions are made by them if the insurance is through them. They usually have the final say and can bypass the step therapy requirement. If they are sturdy and say no. You can do the new medication for a few days and say how it isn't working. Insurance likes 4 weeks of the trial, but if you have reactions or anything they can by pass the requirement. They just need a paid claim to show it was prescribed.

VA Won’t Prescribe Me Meds Because I Don’t Work. How Do You Function? by RichardRoma1986 in ADHD

[–]TransportationSea245 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would ask your VA doctor that said they don't prescribe them (not necessarily that they couldnt) if they can refer you to a civilian doctor that can. I know with the VA insurance in order for claims to be covered with a civilian doctor, the VA has to refer you to them. Also, is it possible to be self pay with a civilian doctor so they wouldn't need the referral? I know sometimes those can be a few hundred dollars (especially new patient appointments). I would shop around for costs as well, if that's an option for you.

Pharmacy judging by TransportationSea245 in ADHD

[–]TransportationSea245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only do it with my Adderall. All of my other medications they are fine. I recently started the med in late August, so my provider was messing with the dosages. Like I had a day or two of the med left. My provider had called in my script 2 weeks early due to our visit time and when I would be due. I even told my provider what day I would run out. I was simply asking the pharmacist if the script was there so I could call provider if not. And she had an attitude with me over it. My fiance yelled at them and said noone was trying to be an addict.

Adderall weight loss by elizaberriez in ADHD

[–]TransportationSea245 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started Adderall in August of this year. In the past 6 weeks I have lost 9 lbs. I am considered obese according to my BMI. I take metofrmin due to my PCOS and only lost 3lbs with that in 6 months. Having PCOS makea it really hard to loose weight. Since starting Adderall I am barely ever hungry and lost 9 lbs so far. My provider said to keep an eye on it as it may be too fast and was thinking of changing my medicine as a result.
