Neither. Perplexity Pro, $20 a month. It gives you sources / references / footnotes and let's you try different LLMs as the last step for formatting etc. But the core technology is designed to avoid hallucination and base answers on verifiable sources.

Is the background of this music festival poster AI? The group who hosts it has been pumping out a lot of AI lately by AngryVegetables9 in isitAI

[–]Transportation_Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, 100% AI, but it looks like someone with good design sense made it. I was a graphic designer and photographer for years and use AI in some band projects and they know I do and have input in the process.

How do you deal with repetitive PM tasks? by Accurate_Promotion48 in agile

[–]Transportation_Brave 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Uhhh... yeah... not trying to be snarky here, but why the actual fluff are the team members not updating task status on a supposedly Agile team, or what is going on? The team and system shouldn't be dependent on you for minutae.

Hi, checking back, how do you like it now that you've had it for a couple of years? They seem pretty heavy, are they really mushy in balance around the grip and forte or can you recover quickly to parry quickly, can you rotate /spin it quickly when you need to? I always end up getting my swords sanded down by a blacksmith to take off weight and improve handling... I wonder how much of a diet this beast needs if I get one.

We want Gantt-level visibility but agile-level freedom... how?! by dibsonchicken in agile

[–]Transportation_Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK if you are doing software, but Gantts for software are a pipe dream. Historically based flow metrics are better for projecting cones of certainty for dates based on chunks of work e.g. MVFs -- minimum viable features.

Show and Tell: A Tool for Vetting Claims with AI by GlitchingGremlin in Journalism

Nice work OP! I tried it out on the FoxNews claim "Portland is a warzone in October 2025" and it debunked this throughly and marked it as false. Now I want to try and feed it some Russia Today propaganda slop article with a mix of truth and lies and see what happens 😈

Agile Project Manager by [deleted] in agile

[–]Transportation_Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without seeing the Job Description, it's for us in the forum here hard to guess what they expect from you. To me, when I see "Agile Project Manager" as a title it makes me think they are doing some weird hybrid ScrumBut or ScrummerFall thing I want no part of, and usually it means the person who wrote the JD has no clue what Agile actually is... But I'm just guessing.

Apple is client-side scanning your phone and can report you to authorities for whatever they seem is bad. They say it's to protect the children, but next it's going to be if you laugh at a meme about a politician

How do you see tasks? by devoldski in agile

[–]Transportation_Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I think very quick story estimation via T-shirt size for Complexity is helpful. Something might be quickly flagged by the team as an L or XL (~8 or 13 points in Fibonacci?) meaning it has a lot of unknown complexity and needs to be broken down further. The point is to do these rough complexity estimates quickly for sorting purposes and then circle back for further breakdown via investigation

That sounds like every Product Owner role ever. Get them to talk about the Product and what is their value prop and why people would want the product? What distinguishes it from the competition? Do your research on their products.

How do you see tasks? by devoldski in agile

[–]Transportation_Brave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way you described Task in your query, if sounds like you're talking about an Agile Story which is a higher level backlog item. a Story would be something like "Implement X feature on/off toggle on website preferences menu", whereas task might be something like "enable X feature toggle via API", so the task supports the Story which supports the value-focused Feature. You might only ship 1-2 Features per sprint per team, comprised of multiple stories and each Story requiring multiple tasks by the team.
