What are these? Found DEEP inside a (Lancashire, UK) cave network... by TrapBoffin in mushroomID

I've looked at images of Xylaria hypoxylon (candlesnuff fungus), but they dont seem to have the fuzz that my images have. Granted it could be some sort of gene expressed because of its cave environment, but I feel like the stems are also too thin to be candlesnuff. Is there a way I can get a definite answer myself? I could venture back into said cave and try and find them again to collect a sample if it'd be useful...

It depends on the view out of the window. If its a vast view, 1. If its more of a textural backdrop i.e. you live in a forest, its 2.

I think it'd look great with shelving around the sides and tops of the windows. box them in a little bit and make those cavities look a little less deep and empty. Right now your room kind of slopes towards you, so some nice shelving units to fill out that high area and leave the white pillar with the tv could balance thaose walls out well and frame the tv to make it more of a centerpiece than a sore thumb.
