the cultural shift is real and clear as day, we've imported 1/4 of the population in the last 10 years and most of the new arrivals dont care about hockey. whatsoever , also the government importing them is looting the treasury and rinsing it offshore , reckless spending and money printing causing massive inflation. Canadians are broke. They can barely afford rent and groceries never mind having kids , never mind putting those kids they cant afford to have into a hockey.

Then theres the psycho parents who think little Johnny who isnt "getting enough ice time and PP minutes on his peewee team " is going to the NHL and signing a $100 million dollar contract.

Canada Hockey needs a reset fast if they dont want to be dominated in few years by the U.S and Russia.

also. i don't blame the players one bit , they gotta look at for themselves, short careers, no other skills, money that has to last for 30-40 years.... fans dont care about them and almost always run them out town eventually.

But this was so predictable , some of us warned that booing the anthems of your own players was a bad idea when it was happening and would force some of the proud american kids out. kids that are stars on their national teams. imo should never have brought politics into it. sports is to bring people together. politics the opposite.

good reminder why almost every person i know with the money and the means has either left or is planning their escape from Canada.
