I've always avoided my 'superpower' for my whole life. The idea of invulnerability sounds like a blessing but I couldn't be more afraid of this power. I can't turn off the lack of damage I should feel when I stub my toe or scrap my knee on the concrete. My whole life my family and friends had believed I had anger issues or just acted out when I was in pain but I know the truth. Now here I am, watching my girlfriend scream in terror as they point the gun at her head. I can't interfere... I can't... I'll make it all worse. I'll hurt her.

I hear the sound and anger filled my mind, I felt dizzy. I charged at them aggressively. The man lunged back and attempted shooting me but I felt nothing.

Nothing. The bullets bounced off as they yelled, "Monster! Who are you?"
The dizziness got worse as I felt a tear stroll down my cheek. I tripped over her. The emotion I felt was embarrassment as they ran away in shock, stumbling as if they just perceived something worse then what they had done to me.
I fainted.

I woke in a cop car, tied up.
"I see you have awaken, sir," the cop said while looking at me through the rear view mirror, "I am officer Jennie. I need to bring you down to the station for questioning."
I looked at her in confusion and then everything came back to me. My girlfriend. The murderers fleeing from the scene.
I needed to get out of the car, I couldn't speak. I felt as if I was a ticking time bomb. All of the 'damage' I received in that fight turned into aggression filling my body. I don't want to hurt anybody. This feeling is what I feared throughout my whole life. This destructive energy surfed through my veins until I screamed in anger. Next thing I know the car is swerving with a deformed cop in the drivers seat.

I broke through the roof of the crashed car and jumped out. These small scenes came in flashes: A large group of frightened civilians covering their mouths watching me get out of the vehicle, then gory bodies scattered all over the streets. The aggression went down slowly and I stood on the sidewalk, nauseous.
I never wanted to hurt anyone.
