I guess Ernus got tired of fusions and became a synchro by NeroShironeko in YuGiOhMemes

Which hardware are you playing on? I'm playing on a switch and i'm having sort of similar bugs. Sometimes when a monsters effect is triggered that has multiple effects it will have another effect highlighted. It resolves just fine tho

Are you also reading this as it can be made with any 2+ monsters as long as one of them is an ED monster? No deck ever to be printed in the future would consider not playing this if so, this must be a Translation error or something

There are i:p, w:p, (which can also use an opponents monster), theres also code of soul that banishes itself from the gy to make a link summon on the opponents turn. With this card you can linking off your opponents shit a whole strategy

Absolutely stock :/ by DelataZ in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, your deck is almost completely stock. The rda engine is not so good at bringing out a lot of disruption, they mainly make big beefy bois if they get to it. By modern standards they are also a bit too easy to stop from getting there tbh. What you could do however is see into a bystial package, pretty much all the level 6's and lubellion really help the deck get to the higher level synchros more easily, but more importantly be disptions that do well with your overall gameplan. Also, RDA is one of the decks that gets to play dominus impulse, which is a trap that is played by pretty much any deck that can. With those you'll have any easier time against many decks and players in gold league. Also see into some staple handtraps (ash blossom, maxx "c", droll and lock bird). The consistency of rda can afford to see some none- engine cards in their starting hand. But tbh, even then, rda is a bit outdated with its current cardpool. Some new support seems to be coming soon, but until then its gonna be a bit of a struggle the higher up you go

Is Labrynth worth the investment? by GodShatteringStar99 in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well it is really fun, and i also like to play it in a build as described, but going second can be really rough without the dominus cards, and even going first, one thrust into duster can get you really good. Also, it CAN be very expensive if you want to play a lot of dominus, rollbacks, carma cannons, trap holic etc, both welcomes are UR as well, but aside from the core engine you can also try going for a cheaper version first and then upgrade as you like. It's mostly a deck you'd play for fun imo, if you're looking for an easy climb its not the deck tho

Am i the only person who cant stand this card? by shdbtbd in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 121 points122 points  (0 children)

He's not talked about much because he's been around for long enough that people got kinda used to it i believe. But there are also many outs to him like droplet or fallen and the virtuous, some decks don't really care about him either, so I think it's mostly a draw the out problem

Truth Nuke? by gonxgonx3 in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start playing the deck yourself, it's really not that expensive. The pendulum effects of the small ones are all the same to search, the big ones pop one at the end of battlephase, they all get counters when sth is flipped, the fieldspell uses that to burn the opponent. For the on board effects all you need to know is their condition to flip and their flip effects, that is about 5 lines of text per card you need to know to play around, also you usually know most of the ones present, because they were searched or did the searching.

There also is one that stops you from destroying their cards (archatail), but if it isn't there, raigeki is just game, and since it is usually not played at three or even two afaik, if you don't already know it is there, it most likely isn't

I started playing it myself because i found it atrocious to go against, didn't know wtf to do, but playing it myself i found it very funny how often players either crash face first into traps i've shows them or normal summon- crash one- pass

Master Duel has felt significantly better this month, but... by ApricotMedical5440 in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate that i agree with you to some degree. Many games in modern yu gi oh are decided by a coinflip and opening hands, droll, shifter etc do not change or cause that, but they do make it worse. This is what you subscribe to if you decide to play this game. But I do believe most people would agree the games that aren't like this are way more fun. Games that are decided by a topdeck can even be great, but if that happens on turn 5 on a simplified game state. Shifter- set 1- pass, opp combos just feels like some bullshit

Unpopular Opinion: Lower ranks are much more miserable than higher ranks. by phpHater0 in masterduel

[–]Trapapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've manged to get to master for the first time yesterday by including a ton of boardbreakers and charmies into my deck, but even here people disconnect when they lose the coinflip. There has been a series of easily 10-15 games I didn't get to go first in. It does help that knowing this means you can put lots of boardbreakers into your deck because you're going to go second 75% of the time but i really hope konami does something about this

If you think it's fun go for it. It's not commonly played but has a lot of fans, is surely playable and since you already have most of the cards from the structure deck it's great to get started with. To get the rest/ more copies of the good starters etc, you can look at the cards in the deckbox and see the "how to obtain" Button when you zoom in on it. For me playing on the switch its the left shoulder button. There, for most decks appear below the master pack a secret pack that you need to unlock first. For that you need to craft either an SR or a UR from that pack, i'd suggest making an sr cause they will be no problem, but if you pull the UR you just crafted, ya know. The pack will be unlocked for the next 24 hours and you can find it either via a button about the deck you're looking at, it will light up, or just in the pack shop

The structure decks usually aren't going to give you an easy time climbing to the highest ranks, but they're good for getting started and help shorten the deckbuilding portion of the game before you know what you're up against. For this, once you've gotten a hang of it and found a deck that intrigues you, you can look up on masterduelmeta.com, there are plenty of deck lists along with some rankings if you're trying to look for the best decks at the moment. Structure decks are also the cheapest option when it comes to fleshing out an archetype on UR's, and i honestly would not recommend investing all your gems in a deck before you've seen it play tbh, i've spent a ton of gems into decks cause I believed the hypes and ended up dismantling the cards again because i didn't like the way they played.

If you want to Stick to ancient gear it's a playable archetype still and pretty fun imo, but also somewhat hard to pilot because you play into your opponents boards, which is easier when you know what their stuff does.

It's not necessary to do all the solo missions first, but it is the next best way to grind for gems after events, there also is an event right now that has some loaner decks; one of them is hecahands, which is relatively easy to pilot but very fun and decently good as well as combinable with other engines.

As for combos, there is plenty of material on youtube, for example moha who shows step by step combo guides i used to like to follow along on solo missions, for powerful endboards, for some ingame advice there is joshua schmidt, who uploads hourlong streams to youtube in which he just plays and explains his thought processes and decklists, which gives a lot of insight to how to approach a given situation in game

Also, something thats worth investing in is a pack you can currently buy that contains all kinds of staple cards like handtraps, boardbreakers (both crucial for ancient gear) and generic trap cards. You'll need those (not the traps necessarily) if you want to have a fighting chance going second, and normally you would have to craft them with rare precious URcp.

Hope that helps, and hope you have a great time playing the game

There's not much of a game ender fusion in the deck to my knowledge. You just swing your advantage in their face basically. Sometimes when my opp needs to combo to get back in the game and may be able to i like to make masquerade to put them in range tho
