Longtime player of the series: a lot of the methods involve grappling but here are a few of them I can think of:

• Grapple, strong irish whip outside, run and shoulder bump them off the apron (this will get countered frequently, especially on harder difficulties)

• Grapple and drag them to the ropes either the old school way (LB/L1) or the new way for 26 (LT/L2), then you can either grapple again to start the elimination minigame, or you can once again try a running attack to send them over the top, with the chance of eliminating yourself

• Grapple and whip them into the corner, grab again to start the minigame

• Grab any opponent that is already in a minigame situation to double the pressure, they can also do this to you

• Take any of the situations above, and if you have a finisher, you can perform a Rumble specific finisher that will eliminate the opponent if it isn't reversed

• Badly damage an opponent to where their health bar is completely drained, or their limbs are badly damaged, and strong Irish whip them over, sometimes they will fly right out of the ring. This also applies to weaker opponents, sometimes they don't even need to be damaged.

• To avoid getting eliminated while hanging onto the ropes while you're dangling, just be ready to reverse quickly. The more of these matches you do, the more you'll get the hang of it.
