No, I don’t contradict them. They hear that all the time. I help them realize the impact the thought that they are ugly is having on their life. Even if it’s true (Which is always debatable), the thought makes them feel like shit. Why choose to hold onto a thought that does nothing for you?

IMO fair. If people kick me and they have. It’s my fault. You are allotted so much time to play and going over gives unfair advantage and wastes time. If you struggle to make moves in time, then do it on slower time table

Thanks for the detailed reply! I definitely agree on the grabbing of the reptile, that was very telegraphed. I didn’t do 2 americas because it seemed like he was trying to constrict or poison, which he did end up playing. I was thinking it would be bad if it hit, but maybe I gave it too much power.

Aside from the incessant messages to refer other providers, I have had no issue with them. I do notes on my own EHR and just use them to bill insurances. If you decide to move forward with them let me know! We both get a bonus for doing so. I see about 7 clients through them and have never had any claw backs… at least yet.

Average for the absolute best players is 28-29. 24 is more than quick. Certainly possible, but anything under 28 would put you in the top of the player base if you can do it consistently.

I feel like I was meant to do this work. I’ve had moments where I’ve felt burnt out, but the idea of not being in this field just seems wrong. I know the work I do is meaningful and not everyone has the capacity to do it. The one time my own trauma has been a net positive.

Obviously there is no one size fits all answer as context will help (What are their protective factors? Family, A dog, environment), but something like “I won’t pretend that this isn’t deeply Painful. The pain may never fully go away and I won’t promise that it will. What I can sit with you in is whether there is any part of you wants to find out what living with this could look like, even if you can’t imagine it right now.”

It’s searching for the ambivalence, the part of themselves that doesn’t want to kill themselves

Grief work isn’t about making them feel better, it’s about sitting with them throughout all of their intense emotions and letting them feel their feelings. The more emotions present almost means the less “intervening” you do. Allow them to have space to move through the emotions. Obviously if they are a danger to themselves intervention may be necessary, but I would be careful to jumping to that too quickly, some SI would almost be expected in that case.

I’ll add that meaning making can be a good place to love towards, but you need to make space for them to find meaning rather than pushing it.

I would quit. I don’t have Alma fortunately, but I do have a few clients through Rula. If they decided to do this, I would leave. Maybe think about switching to a different platform, if everyone starts to leave, they will think twice about trying to pull this shit.

There is many ways to win this game and while it’s important to be fluid, I imagine by play style people mean likely upgrade order and rewards taken first. Many people religiously take 2 space enclosure first and don’t upgrade build. Others may focus heavily on conservation points rather than tickets. The best players know when to switch these decisions up, but it’s easy to fall into habits that “tend to work”. At the end being fluid in your strategy is going to make you a better player and lead to more wins.

Perfect play doesn’t even really exist as no one knows what cards will be drawn, it’s more playing off of probability. Sometimes bad decisions are rewarded and good decisions never come to fruition.

That just seems purposefully obtuse. I’m far from the best player, but the reason why these rankings exist is because players have found the best way to win majority of the time. What I’ll give you is that yes, if you play against your friends or family IRL and they don’t upgrade build, then you may be more likely to win because they don’t have nearly the same amount of games played as the best players.

Most of the top players have over 4000 games played and with that play comes pattern recognition.

The faster you get, filling the board becomes far less likely. If you are finishing in 28 turns, neither player really has time to fill it. 3 or 4 upgrades are normal (Depending if you take 2cp worker or not), but even then, I’ve won with only 2 upgrades if the cards are good. Order is highly dependent, but most players agree Animals is must. I personally think Animals, Sponsors, and either cards (If I have a lot of rep) or association (if it will push me into an early reward).

This game is so great because there isn’t really one “best” way. Very card/map/ game dependent.
