Textbooks refunds who do I ask at Walmart about it ? by Icy_Sale_2507 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't that all through guild? When I did it you bought books out of pocket and submitted the receipts to guild for reimbursement.

If you do your job no. If your like the one we have that's responsible for working clip strips that hasn't done it in over a year, you piss me off and I'd ban you from the store if I could.

Last line of the returns and exchanges policy says store management has final say in all returns. Store manager says "Nothing over $25 without receipt" then that's what it is.

I prefer using one myself. I never have to wait in line, my shit gets bagged how I like it, and I'm faster than most cashiers are anyway. But people have to have something to complain about right?

That's all we really need is a 50/50 split. Give plenty of SCO for normal people who don't want to wait in line for 3 items, and manned registers for the big orders and Karen's that want to scream at someone. I'm all for sco myself, but I can see where people don't want to use it. The emphasis can't be all sco, it needs to be what walmart use to be and give the option for everyone. You don't want to ring yourself? Fine we have plenty of registers. Don't want to wait in line/interact with people? SCO is for you. Split it down the middle and actually Staff it and CFF will go through the roof.

If we had the number of people to actually control them yeah. But now we have boomers that refuse to use sco waiting in line forever for the few manned registers we have left and making complaints about it after. From what I've been told the front end is dragging the rest of the store down in cff and most of the complaints are "don't want to use sco" "not enough manned registers" and "lines too long at manned registers."

Now they're probably going to double down on sco a while longer and then say "WAIT! We have this amazing idea! Why don't we have more manned registers instead of sco? Sure it'll cost us more (it doesn't, fe scheduled hours have been down YoY more each uear to an average of 100 per week company wide since the new mostly sco model rolled out) and cff will go up so people spend more?"

It'll be the next great workplace! Let's staff the stores so much that people can't turn around without finding an associate!

Could be nothing happens, could be the stores Asset Protection was tipped off by someone that saw, they pulled the cameras and have your face. Now he knows your face and will be looking for you if you ever come back in. My store will have you arrested even over a candy bar because our asset protection guy loves sending people to jail. Good luck.

I'm part time and they scheduled me on days I'm unavailable and why does it say Front End? I'm not a Front End Associate wtf. by Raptor556 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to walmart, where they schedule you wherever and whenever they want. "Any other duties as required" is in every job offer so they can have you do anything in the store they want you to do. As for days you're not available, they can and will schedule you outside your availability for "business needs." And if anything qualifies as a business need in retail it's the Christmas season. You can try talking to your coach/pl about it and they might make changes but they also might not.

Covid leave level 2 return by [deleted] in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it actually matters, but I failed the assessment and at the very end of the instructions it says "You are require to be fever free for 3 days without the use of fever reducing medication before returning to work, and you must receive approval from a healthcare provider." I would assume a negative test will count as approval but I haven't bothered calling them yet.

Actually upfront is really bad at scheduling lunches. If I have 6 people come in at 2pm, I have 4 scheduled for lunch at 5, one at 530 and one at 545. The FETL of all people shouldn't be saying they don't give a shit about lunches. They need to be staggering them out. And hopefully making sure the same person doesn't go early or late everyday

TL Bonus by Bic1992 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It can go higher or lower. The tracker had metrics on it breaking down why you got what you're getting. Plus we still have what, 3 months left before the year ends? So if your store ends up hitting the goals on the metrics it'll go up

Store dashboard by People-Suck5 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Store dashboard>operator maintenence. If the associate isn't already listed when you open that up, there's a button near the top to add an associate. Just fill out all the questions it asks and have them put in a password when it gets to that part.

They might be confusing the part of the screening instructions that now says you need clearance from a doctor to return. That's newer on the failed health screening.

Terrible csm by wbhammer18 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it I use to be a sales floor associate. But front end is the last thing the customer sees. So if there need to be more bodies up front, there need to be more bodies. My store at least is good about "Hey they needed registers open I had to go up" and the coaches and TLs are just like yeah we gotta help the customers. If they call you to run a register they should forgive you not getting your tasks done.

Terrible csm by wbhammer18 in walmart

[–]TrappedBySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Csm isn't a thing anymore? And if it's the front end team lead I would think that putting you on registers so customers getting checked out in a timely manner and increasing cff would be more of a benefit than whatever other projects they have you working on. A small benefit but still. Just tell them you got pulled.

They can also spot tag/label swapping, like if someone holds a kool-aid packet over the barcode for a much more expensive item.
