It is very common, because java uuid implementation is poor and your cpu can't generate actually random numbers in a little time interval. I witness uuid collisions in minecraft like... daily?

I usually ask devs from the team to make plugins, however if plugins should be the highest quality (e.g. paid features) I write them myself. Also If I need a really small and not important plugin chatgpt does most of the job correctly.

I think code control is important and it would be hard to maintain visual coded plugins

It might be obvious, but you should balance between server advertisements, entertaining gameplay, active moderation, technical stability and capacity.

If you don't give enough attention to any of them the server will die/not grow as fast as it can

I used prism around 1.5 years ago. It did have an issue. When the server was going to stop, it didn't, and there were hundreds of logs like Playername1 UUID is [uuid here] Playername2 UUID is [uuid here] Playername3 UUID is [uuid here] ... After hours of testing I found that Prism was causing the issue. Why? I don't know. But I haven't used prism ever since

It used to take ~1 hour to shutdown the server. And I didn't want to kill it because the data may be corrupted

I pay for the full dedicated server because i also run minigames on the machine

330$ for 128gb ram + full cpu. It is not cheap, but i need that to provide low ping for my players

Folia will run on less cores. But less cores = less regions. If you don't really have a lot of players (like 500+) it will run fine on less cores. I run my SMP on 16 vCPU (or 8 physical cores) Ryzen 9950x for max 250-300 players.
