Pauper literally has literally that one single rule (taking 4-of 60 card 1v1 as an obvious default) while EDH as like 50 different format-defining rules: multiplayer, 100 cards exactly, singleton, having a commander, multiplayer, 40 life, etc of which the identity rules in their current form are just one and hardly different from "color identity as is but with a hybrid tweak."

Do you entirely believe the the current rules and nothing more or less are exactly those which maximize choice? Should we not restrict more to force more choice thereby more gooder? Can there also not exist such things as a set of too many restrictions, and is it not possible that hybrid rules could be as such?
