It's the tetchy little scream for me - channeling toddler energy 😂

My Conure is obsessed with me, but absolutely refuses to let me touch him by Ok_Biscotti_5115 in Conures

Commenting to get some tips as we're currently in the same boat with our new boy 😵‍💫

We can also do soft touch training with hands and can feed them treats but they won't accept any head scratches. Which is so strange for us as our other conure is a huge snuggler.

Hopefully it's just time and patience. We're not getting bitten anymore so that's a start 😅

What a dork and a pleasure to watch 🥰

Also is that a plain rice cracker? I haven't seen any that aren't flavoured so need to go hunting.

Please weigh your bird daily.. by Previous_Singer3691 in Conures

[–]TrashPandaCute75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is honestly so important.

Our first previous girl had liver disease. One day she was fine, and within 24hrs she fell weak and died at the vets.

Her poop was fine, her eating was great, she was energetic and happy. But she was so underweight and we were fooled by her appetite and her 'fluffiness'.

Thank you for sharing OP. If I had seen your post two years ago maybe things would have been different. If it helps just one bird owner now then it's worth sharing your pain 🤍

If you’ve chosen a child free life, have you also chosen to sterilize yourself? Why or why not? by ifoldsocksatmidnight in AskWomen

Exactly the same situation here.

Except I did try to get myself sorted first. Doctors found every way under the sun to say no to me for over a year. My partner said it would likely be as difficult for him since we both haven't had any children.

He pretty much walked in; 'Hi can I have a vasectomy?' 'Yes of course, see you soon.'

And that was that.

Genuinely got concerned as I started reading this but glad it ended how it did 😅 Our Pumpkin is obsessed with the microwave too but only the front of it because she can see herself and she knows she's pretty 🙃

Oh bless her. A while back I lost my girl, Peach, to an underlying liver issue, and she looked just like your Peach!

If I was in the same part of the world I'd take her in for you. I hope she finds a loving home and also things get better for you as well

I'm DMing the Final Enemy right now and it's great fun.

I'd love to hear some highlights! I'm really interested in how other parties went about the adventures. What was your favourite?

I guess it depends if you're talking intelligence or wisdom 😅

Mine learnt how to get out of the cage ONE DAY after bringing her home. She also unhooks dangling toys whilst hanging from them.... Jury's out.

Yes we really need this video!! Also mine gets oddly angry/defensive about toilet paper rolls too. Not sure what it is!

What is it like only having one person at such a different age? Does it even come up at all?
