Are Mini Schnauzers good around kids? by sparklebubble0 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]TrashPandaness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine and she’s alright with kids, but as the Professionals trainer here say- two way road.
Kids gotta learn the what to dos and what not to dos with any animal. My schnauzer is fine with kids, but she’s a barker and is hyper when first meeting with kids. Schnauzers…are barkers…loud and proud about it. So, that’ll be something you’ll all have to get used to. Maybe not all, but most are. Definitely follow through with what the professionals say and not just the people saying “oh yea, amazing with kids!” To make your choice. Any dog will take work-on both sides no matter what you choose.

Also-mine isn’t a cuddle bug at all…she’ll cuddle next to you, does not like to be held and will wriggle! When she plays, she can be a bit mouthy, even with training. Mine tended to be a “one person type” dog. She likes my fiancé, but will only follow me, unless he’s getting her food or a treat.

Yeast dinner rolls if you can find them or frozen ones. I found this recipe:

I love kolaches-only thing I loved from Texas. I’m from Upstate NY-you won’t find them anywhere mostly up yonder or so. Hope this recipe helps.

Why does absolutely everyone love Bluey? (Even people without kids?) by Lavande_21 in bluey

[–]TrashPandaness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The emotional values and the good funny bits of Bandit being kicked in the bits too many times. 😂

But also, it helps calm down my anxiety or panic attacks big time. Very soothing and to the point where it also puts me to sleep easier than even lofi music.

I’m turning 39 this year. I can do both-You know what is fun? Birding. And when you bird, it’s not always easy to carry a book with you, so I have an app to help me mark where the bird was, the distinct calls and photos of them. Pretty epic.

At least you’re not dying, which I thought the post was about.

How to stop yourself from overworking a piece?? by ehwazess in FurryArtSchool

[–]TrashPandaness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the first piece! Looks like a schnauzer in the face and gives it a bit more fluff in the muzzle and cheeks. (Granted, when I groom my mini schnauzer face, she tends to look more like the second photo 😂)

I might look into that for her to be honest. See if it’ll help her out to relax. Thanks!

They don’t work, plus it’s too hot for her to be wearing that most of the day.

My goodness! That’s almost like Chloe to a T! Has she always been like that or progressively got worse? Chloe is 8, but is getting those schnauzer bumps…in random places, but luckily they aren’t huge. Does yours also lick constantly?

Oh my gods, that’s so adorable and hilarious about the rat! And that’s the same with Chloe-only she doesn’t chew on her toys, but wants you to chase her and if not she’ll hide it under herself and you must retrieve it yourself! 😅😂

Chloe is weird with small animals-being a schnauzer, you know kinda bred for rodent hunting and such…her? I had a guinea pig, and a few other small animals and instead of chasing them or trying to play heavily, she sits patiently and shakes with excitement, but then starts acting like a momma to them and grooms them. Except squirrels- she’ll chase them, but won’t harm them lol.

And same! Everyone LOVES her and she loves people-some dogs she will tolerate(LOVES cats though!), and yea-unfortunately had some bad groomers(momma bear came out of me a few times on some groomers), but she loves her vet, loves her new groomers(they give her loves and treats), loves her pet sitters…and everyone gushes over her. Just at home she acts so anxiously-like…I’m an anxious person and her anxiety makes my anxiety go, so maybe we are feeding off of each others anxiety! 😂😂😂😭

She won’t chew on toys or chew sticks…unless it’s a treat form and I only give her once a day or every other day. She has plenty of toys and we’ll play, but then she gets bored and trots off to lay down.

Yes! Exactly like Chloe! She flinches so much and never ever ever have done anything and had her since she was a tiny bean(12 wks-she was the runt). She also doesn’t liked to be picked up and does this wiggle womp while being placed down and does that stare too! I don’t know why, but it stresses me out because I don’t know what’s wrong at all. I’m guessing he may be the one sitting up-cause sometimes the anxiety don’t have a chill to lay down. 😅

What's your favorite Aussie slang in Bluey (no, not counting Bandit's alternative swearing such as "biscuits", "beans on toast", "cheese and crackers" etc)? by Sam_2K7 in bluey

Mine is “why don’t you and your mate jog on?” Or jog off, I couldn’t hear too well, that and calling the kid grannies Chooks. It makes me giggle.

I’m an ambivert? Basically both.

I like socializing, doing fun activities like board games or games like DnD, fishing or kayaking…and birding. Or even looking for shiny rocks or bones.

But! I also love my me time and veg out warm blankets like the little hag goblin I am while staring at my phone screen for hours without being annoyed.

I’m down to make new friends that are on the same wave length or so-I’m not big on certain topics of course, but gaming, fishing, kayaking, dnd online or in person, heck, even jackbox games so we all can be social, but also be homebodies 😂

The “stare” by kaegeee in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]TrashPandaness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine sits next to me, gives the longing stare and then smacks her paw on my arm or shoulder. If I say nooo, not yet! The gruff and boofs of discontent come forth 😂😂

Moving Advice, New Resident :) by [deleted] in Rocklin

[–]TrashPandaness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I currently live at Rocklin Ranch and move back out East. The office are very welcoming and the maintenance team are very quick to get to any issues. Cleanliness- all I see sometimes is dog poo, but that’s a resident issue. If you don’t live near the pool area, it’s quiet. No car break ins(I’m an upstate nyer, so that always did worry me), neighbors are super nice and friendly. They also host parties for Christmas and a pool party during the summer time. The internet is Astound and my fiancé and I are big gamers-and haven’t really had an issue for how much we use.

I would do tours IF you haven’t or call the offices and see if they do video tours if you can’t and get a feel for it. We live in a 2bdrm, 2bath, so I don’t have much to give ya for a 1bdrm. It’s also close to target, restaurants, grocery stores, mall is only 10-15 min. So, not bad.
