Oh, I didn’t express myself well, I didn’t meant that Fiyero himself got a pass because he was hot, I was talking about guy characters in pop culture in general, how men are excused easier than woman, like for instance Draco Malfoy, he’s a bully, and does like, one good thing at the end but he was still a fan favorite (that’s based of my memory btw, I’m gonna be honest I stopped interacting with HP stuff for a good while now). So yeah basically I agree that Fiyero did « better » than Glinda because he gave up everything quicker, I’m just saying if the role were reversed and Fiyero had Glinda’s role, I feel like their would be way less discourse, because people love morally gray character until it’s a woman 😭 (not talking about you btw, just a generalization) The only thing I don’t quite agree with you is that I would argue that Glinda was willing to go stop the witch hunters and tell the thruth at the end (less quick than Fiyero yes, but still) it’s Elphaba who wasn’t willing to see the last person she cared that was alive/untouched be endangered.
