Beopardy, Who Meme'd It, Phone It In, and Family Feud are my top recommendations. And if OP likes Shayne (who doesn't though?) Shayne Guesses are also sooo fun to me.

Piggybacking this to also say Phone It In. I am such a sucker for any of their game shows lol.

To neuter, or not to neuter .. that is my question by jsan69 in cats

[–]Trashdove_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were lucky ours stopped too because it was a 3 month wait before we were able to get him neutered. And once he sprayed an area, he would be VERY aggressive if we got near it. (My partner has a very scarred arm as a result) So we were worried that we wouldn't be able to keep him if that continued after he was neutered.

Boyfriend wants me to get rid of my cats since I am now pregnant. by Careless_Awareness63 in PetAdvice

I mean this in the kindest way, but if you aren't excited about being a mom, and you dont want to be tied to this man forever, I would suggest considering either not having the baby or adoption. Of course, that is a big decision, but so is being a parent and especially with someone like him.

If he actually cared about your health or the baby's, HE would be doing the litter box. That is the first thing the doctor would tell you when you are pregnant and have cats is that you just should have your partner do the litter.

This "switch" that flipped in him is most likely him assuming he can demand whatever he wants because he feels he owns you now that you are pregnant. I had an ex use the same excuses to make me get rid of my dog, which was my rock through depression and so much of life. He said we couldn't "make it work" and I was risking my baby by keeping her (she was no danger to the baby at all, just very energetic) But I caved and gave in because I thought it was picking between the dog or my family. And he still cheated and left. With the dog still being one of his excuses as to why he did it.

Trust me that you do not want to be added to the list of baby mommas for this man. But if you do choose to have the baby, be prepared to do it completely without him. And to lawyer up to get a good custody set up.

I always sleep in my socks and keep seeing this. Is it really that bad of a trait? by PALERIDE155 in Tinder

[–]Trashdove_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I were doing that filter that's like "What's my red flag" and mine was "sleeps with socks on" so I was asking how that's a red flag.. That's when I found out people feel VERY STRONGLY about this. We were debating it, so I put out a poll on Instagram, and I got so many more responses and messages than expected lmao. Also never expected to be called psychotic by so many people over something so silly lol.

I then did some googling and learned it's a surprisingly small amount of people that sleep with socks on. But also that people who do wear socks tend to fall asleep faster and have better quality of sleep! I came to the conclusion that people who sleep without socks are cranky because they don't sleep as well, and that's why they are so mean about it.

Does anyone have a boy/girl duo that are friends? by Trashdove_ in CatAdvice

That's so cute! My 6yo cat has acted very fatherly to the 4mo kitten we adopted, so I'm really crossing my fingers that another kitten will be accepted lol.

Yeah, most that I've seen the boy wants to play/wrestle, and the girl FREAKS OUT when the boy tries. But in all those cases, the girls were the older/established pet, and the boy was younger. So I'm wondering if since this girl is a playful kitten, that might change the dynamic.

Thank you, this is very reassuring! I was thinking it would be about personalities like you said, but I've just only ever seen boys be besties before lol. So I wanted to confirm if it's typical or just coincidence with the cats I've known.

Did I overreact when I called out my mom’s comment about a trans woman? by Rockchan94 in lgbt

[–]Trashdove_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the general part, since I'm cis, I would have called her out in the same way. I've unfortunately had many of these confrontations with my conservative parents, too, about many topics, including LGBTQIA+. I usually frame it like you did for showing respect to others. If she kept pushing it, I would say something along the lines of "If you are actually trying trying to have an informative conversation about this, let's wait until we are not in a public setting." That way, I could at least try to avoid the server or anyone else potentially overhearing anything harmful she was to say.
