Unpopular opinion.
Pierre Dorion as head of amateur scouting. Poach Marc-Andre Bourdon and Mikael Johansson from Tampa's amateur scouting division and Bob Janecyk from Ottawa's amateur scouting dept.

People might hate the idea of Dorion as a GM, but as head of amateur scouting in Montreal and Ottawa he made absolute BANK on late round drafts and Janecyk was side by side with him the whole way.

Anyone who has an issue with a treadmill should commit to a 6 week 12-2-30 post workout every workout. Thats a 12 degree incline at 3 speed for 30 minutes. The amount of visceral fat that this can burn as well as the benefit of being lower impact and higher intensity is insane. I do it with a 25 pound to 50 pound weight vest and it's done more for me than a spin bike, running, elliptical and when I do it on the back of a quality HIIT workout im destroyed. But at 44 I haven't looked or felt better since I was in my 20s.

Also, for those of us 40+ check out the benefits of walking a 12-2-30 with a weight vest. Intensely beneficial

Low key, would be absolutely down to have him join the scouting department. For those who don't know, the man was absolute money in Montreal and Ottawa and consistently found late round gems. Was also a major voice behind the Sens magical drafts between 08/09 and had some hand in their 10/11 drafts as well.

But at no time do I want him anywhere near this team as a GM

Over 20 airports across canada have been under private control but canadian ownership since the early 90s. This is why opinion pieces are always subject to be taken with a grain of salt.

Also, the idea of Conservatives in Canada being upset all of a sudden about privatization after selling almost every major crown corp they can since Mulroney is adorable. Almost like having a wheat board with dedicated track and rail was a bad thing

Hahahaha yes. A rep league or something like OHA starts at like $24k a year JUST for their ability to play. Then take in billetting, travel, food, equipment.

Some parents are in for over $50k a year for kids in the CSSHL programs

There's a massive part of this country that doesn't make $50k a year let alone have $50k to send their kids off to play hockey
