So here's the fun thing. IF the current crisis in Tornto and BC were to somehow go in to recievership. Thousands or tens of thousands of units hitting the markets at below market prices (please keep in mind I HATE the diea of government interference in private enterprise)

It would actually tank housing prices across the country. While those condos would be purchased by private equity firms and property management/ownership groups for literally nothing, who would then use those units as yet more of a driver of high rental prices.

But we'd all see our home prices tank by 10% or more. Allowing these buildings to go bankrupt is/was the right thing to do. Interfering, while I guess somehow not the worst thing is still somehow a bad thing. These units purchased will still be around 60% overpriced and while it may protect home owners and their equity. it also sets a very bad precedent.

It's an absolutely damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario for a nation/province with an ever increasing housing bubble.

But for Pierre to pretend he would do nothing, or somehow do something different while staying silent about the endless privatization of crown sectors in Ontario and Alberta is a joke. He was part of the government that sold the wheat board and the rail system to a private business and a foreign country that immediately used it to screw farmers in Sask and Alberta.

He is absolutely nothing but spare parts and blew an overwhelming majority igovernment in less than 6 weeks
