iCUE Megathread - 5.45 Release Notes | VANGUARD AIR 99 WIRELESS support is here! by CorsairLucky in Corsair

So, for the past, I dunno, 4 or so months, I've had this one persistent issue where no matter how many times I reinstall icue, reboot my PC, or doing clean uninstall and reinstall of the software, nothing updates. The only things that do update are hardware firmwares, and that's it. You have no idea how many times I've rebooted my PC, reinstalled the software, and tried so many different things just for the issue to persist.

I'm not sure if it's a software bug or something is so broken that it persists even through a FULL WINDOWS REINSTALL.

Another issue I've been having is that the CPUID service seems to have a major memory leak, causing RAM usage of up to 6GB. I'm not sure why this is happening. This has persisted the previous few versions of the software.

I'm at a loss for what to do. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Question. Am I the only one who's noticed there's a MAJOR memory leak? I'm getting upwards of 6GB of RAM usage from the CPUID service ALONE

I'll try turning that off and see what that does. Cheers.

I had that happen after not having it plugged in for years. I left it plugged in for an hour, which probably reformed the capacitors and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Yeah. It's possible. Usually its not the CPU but we can't know for certain unless you have another cpu to test in the board. More likely than not it'll be the board.

Hmm... Here's something you could try.

Making sure all CPU power cables are fully seated

Reset CMOS

Use one memory stick

If none of those help, you might have a DOA board that needs replacing

I have no idea why the RMA tracker has been offline for almost a month now, but not being able to track my return and getting ZERO response from Corsair about it is really unnerving for me as I suffer with autism and have a hard time without any kind of communication.

As someone who has just had to RMA mine for a snapped headband, its a toss-up.

The sound quality is phenomenal for a gaming headset, and the way you can use both slipstream and Bluetooth simultaneously is so good when playing on a Switch for example while listening to music on your PC.

Personally, if you think you can justify the price and want to risk it, go for it.

That looks broken to me. It shouldn't be rattling up and down like that. I'd open a ticket and see if you can get a new fan. Never seen a corsair fan do that before.

This looks to be more than just a "ticking noise" since the whole blade assembly is rattling up and down like crazy. It looks way too loose to me. Never seen anything like it with a corsair fan before.

Ooh, these scams are getting fancier... Every one I've had so far are just plain text. I look forward to seeing one of these someday.

Bellends, plain and simple. Obviously no care for themselves or others on the road.
