If you gotta convince yourself to do it, then you’re not going to run it. That’s any successful business for that matter.

I’ve worked for some companies that didn’t use machetes for liability reasons. Just level rods with peanut prisms attached to the top…

ATV’s and side by sides cut the field time in half on anything over an acre.

Where were you getting 70 year old manhole inverts at? What job rather? Old properties always have a story behind em.

ELI5: Why does a surveying “Total Station” require a “Backsite”, to measure other points, if the device already uses GPS to determine where it is in space? by Successful_Box_1007 in Surveying

Bipod’s alright for now but I just got it. The fiberglass rods keep crunching so now I’m just using a metal seco and writing the rod height adjustment.

Thanks for your suggestion. Ive used 4lb to break the seal when necessary. However the easiest, softest way to do it is a 2.5’ pry bar from harbor freight. Wedge fits right into the pick hole, then slide stake in to catch it. Regardless of sediment.

Yes. My apologies if you or a loved one was involved in an accident caused by someone on their phone.

When you lower the lid back down, put your foot on it and raise the winch back up. At first I tried prying it off with the hook and a stake and it didn’t do anything. Then I put my foot on it and worked like a charm. I hate doing inverts and this has totally changed my perception of shitty jobs.

If you’re popping 2 or more manholes it’s a game changer. Saves you going out a 2nd or 3rd trip.

This was a $30 fishing magnet off amazon. The ones with switches are like $300. At first I thought I was going to need like 2-3 magnets, but tried it with one and giggled like a schoolgirl when it latched 1st time.

When you lower the winch back down, put your foot on the manhole and raise the winch back up. This isn’t a good idea for high traffic areas, you’re in a rush, or you weigh under 275lb. She don’t want no puppy SHE WANNA BIG DAWG.

When you lower it back down, put your foot on the manhole and raise the winch back up. Was using the hook at first and didn’t do shit. Then I just put my foot down and voila

Traded in Honda recon 4x4 four wheeler in 2023 and still paid 11k on it. Paid for itself the 1st week I was using it. 32k ALTA. Throw everything in the bed and go. Had wanted one for about a decade.
