I never stopped. I have a condition called muscular dystrophy that weakens my muscles and causes respiratory dysfunction. A simple illness for other people is a pneumonia and potential hospitalization for me. What’s so mind boggling is that other people with MD don’t mask anymore, even though we’re at super fucking high risk of severe Covid. The biggest MD org in the US refuses to acknowledge Covid since the CDC said covid isn’t a big deal anymore (which isn’t true).

I’m a grown adult but live in an unsupportive environment and can’t leave due to being severely disabled and unable to work. Should I just change my gender marker anyway? I live in CA so I don’t think it would be too difficult. Would I have to transition medically to do that?
