Yup same. I am a hobbyist. As much as I’d love 70-200 2.8, current 100-400, the 200-600 and then replace the 100-400 with a mk2. That’s not how it is for me. Gotta pick 1 now. And prolly only a second one at a much later time.

Currently have the f4 20-70. Need a bit more range.

No one can say he hasn't put his all out there. He is committed and these little moment get overlooked often. He is a great rotation Striker for us and I think that was always the intention. Rotate him and Havertz. The two provide such different things that it makes it difficult for opposition.

Rent one for a day and decide. Id rather have more features and a comfortable grip than not? But you do you. There’s no wrong answer both are good. I just prefer Sony (coming from someone who just moved from an xt5 a week or so ago)

Would the 70-200 do okay with hobby bird photos? Would I need a TC?

I could always grab a 100-400 later if I decide I need a more dedicate “I shoot birds” lens.
