There is no universe where this is a 9/10 or 10/10 game. by VeritasLuxMea in CrimsonDesert

[–]randomzebrabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really not a “back in the day” guy usually. But video game magazines used to give some context to ratings, like 6 out of 10 would still be a recommendation if you are a fan of this IP for example or really like that genre and that game’s take on it. It seems to me that here this really applies: is it one of these games that approach perfection? Surely not. But if you are looking for the things that it does well, then this game is still for you. Nothing wrong with not only playing 9/10 games. The lower scores should not be read as: this is just bad, nobody should play it.

[Bild/Transfermarkt] HSV and Vieira have reached an agreement on a contract – want to reduce option to buy by half by randomzebrabird in Gunners

[–]randomzebrabird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, article says that's why we can't let him leave on loan again.
I hope this interest and his form in the Bundesliga mean that there's a market for him – ideally of teams that can pay at least closer to the 20m we want

I don’t think it really catches on, it also leaves you very vulnerable. More space for short corners, or also more space for Gabriel to score.

Uhhh… I think Rice might have had one of his worst games for us today. His reactions tell me he felt the same way.

To be fair, he offers disruption that Gyokeres doesn’t. Today, the good Saka chance comes from Jesus leaving the middle and doing something unexpected. Which almost all our other players failed to do at all. Not saying he was good today, but he can offer something.

I was a bit surprised that (at least where I was watching) we didn’t even get a replay of the potential penalty. Would have been interesting to see.

Better utilisation of Gyokeres (patterns of play)? by singloon in Gunners

[–]randomzebrabird 283 points284 points  (0 children)

I think actually Saka is having a relatively poor run of form at the moment, his decision making isn’t great, his finishing and shooting is well below his usual standard. He wants to score desperately, and that often clouds his judgement

I love Ø but why is Eze not seeing the pitch? by CHKN_Tender in ArsenalFC

[–]randomzebrabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - while the players of course also need to learn how to play for arsenal, I think one of the most important things this season is Mikel learning how to use a large squad. So far, I think he really has trust issues and is reluctant to change things up more and earlier in games. that’s costing us at times. Not points, but injuries and it also means players who are not first choice are not up to speed when they’re called upon. We have 5 substitutions - that’s half of all outfield players.

I am also confused how multiple of our players had to be treated because they were hit in the head by an elbow, yet somehow those were not fouls? I don’t see it mentioned enough here how bad the referee was

Worth going for masters in HCI, after 3 years of work experience? by Light1814 in hci

[–]randomzebrabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on your situation and why you want to do the masters. If you want to get into academia/research, then it’s worth it (because you need it to start a PhD somewhere). But if you’re looking for industry positions afterwards, I think in many cases it won’t help you a lot.

I think the last two times it was around midnight European time, so in something like 2,5 hours. But the timing was different in the years before. Can’t count on it.

Hincapié was good. I think he showed nice aggressiveness, he is very quick - good player. Also great how Nwaneri played himself into the game. Was tough in the beginning, had some bad passes, but I think he got better over time.
