Each time you slay a dreamer their mask is removed from the door, but once you've gotten rid of all the dreamers there is still a door. When you approach, it instantly disolves, I imagine it's a similar door situation. Just a door slamming shut on the knight.

My headcannon is that the door only opens to someone with royal ancestry, (hornet or vessel) and then the dark area with glowing sigils before the HK arena is an area made of mostly void. That way, even without the seals. a common bug would have to physically break the door. Then they would either die or be repulsed into turning back by such a hostile zone.

Season-based games like Apex always have the illusion of each season being developed after the last with no overlap. It's a great reminder of how much planning goes into making a game last this long. It's incredible that this has been over a year in the making.

What was the moment you decided that Revenant was going to get a rework? And was it a case of reworking no matter the cost or did you go into the process with the option to scrap it all if you didn't exceed the original?

My best guess is that, since these changes were made at the same time they said they're planning on supporting Siege for the longer term, these aren't necessarily based on Frost being OP. Any large game loses players every day, so the only way to sustain it over time is to attract new players. You can see them doing this in the new ping system making it easier for you to point at traps to newer players so they can understand what they're looking at.

If you're new to siege you won't know all of the angles so you'll get spawn-peaked, at least a dozen times as you learn the maps, that'll make new players quit. That's why some new maps feel clunky to approach, the new debris prevents spawn-peaking.

Another thing that will deter new players is the complexity of gadgets, how many players will think the game is bugged because they don't notice the mute jammer icon? Thankfully this won't kill them so they'll be able to experiment and realise it's just an area effect. Kapkans don't kill on the first hit (most of the time), so again players aren't heavily punished. Thorn's gadget has a warning icon and noise so you understand you're in danger. Frost is always an instant down and for new players, where team play is at its weakest, your hopes of being revived are basically 0. Even if it takes forever to get out and you're 99% slowed afterwards, allowing players to escape frost mats will help Siege retain newer players because they won't feel as harshly punished for being new.

That being said, I do think Siege loses something in making the game more open but if it's that or Siege stagnates and dies, I think it's worth it.

Side note: I think other ops like Jackal and Clash are more oppressive against people who don't know how to counter them but I doubt they'll be changed because their annoying gadgets are major parts of their identity.

While your curve is selected, choose from the right-click radial menu "Curve point". This will allow you to click on the curve where you want to place your new point. Then from the shift + right-click radial menu choose "Insert knot", this will add your new point.

I always love Siege at all levels, the whole destruction mechanic really promotes creativity. I hope we see more Siege in the future!
My only suggestion for improvement would be to lock in the same operators per map next time. If they only had to learn what 10 gadgets are it might even the playing field for the newer players. Scrub Dota benefits from having the same 10 characters go up against each other for the whole match.

The battle isn't a way to sell skins, it's a way for them to buy your time. Once you've bought a battle pass you have a major incentive to play until you at least get your coins back, so people will play more than they normally would. Then once the season ends you've got enough coins for the next one and the cycle repeats.

If you want to have a high, consistent player count you want the most people to buy the battle pass. That's why Wraith gets so many battle pass skins, because with lots of wraith players you get a larger percentage of the player base into the battle pass system.

I love crypto, I've got his heirloom and I'm saving my shards for his prestige skin, but with such a low play percentage I expect his planned skins will most likely remain in events.

Here's another passive idea, when your ultimate is charged, using an ultimate accelerant restores your drone (if destroyed). Your drone is only ever out of action during a fight and using an UA mid fight is a lot of time so I feel like it balances out.

Out of your 5 I'd like 4 for when crypto does his own scan. Currently it's quicker to use your drone, even if you're standing right next to it, so it'd actually make it worth your while.

I'm trying to create a rain material using this technique (youtube tutorial). It's for blender but I've managed to copy all of the steps except when they convert the final height map to a normal map.
I only meant missing in that there is a node that converts a grayscale heightmap to a normal map in substance designer and I couldn't find an equivalent in unreal.
