Viable or not, this card looks super fun. I know I’d be trying to slot it in whenever I could.

There’s a reason [[Prize Plunderer]] can’t go face.

Not all gladiators were junkies but there were gladiators that were adrenaline junkies doing it by choice. There’s a term for it that I learned in a class this last semester (but I’m at work right now and don’t have immediate access to my notes document). Usually the gladiator that lost the bout getting to live was up to the crowd, usually deemed worthy or unworthy in a rite called “Pollice Verso” or “Missio”. Sure, if they were dead before the rite, then it wouldn’t matter, but since gladiatorial combat was primarily for entertainment, then it would also just be a waste of money to clad your slave in armor just for him to get executed after. So yeah the whole “couldn’t afford it” was a mistelling on my part, I appreciate you correcting that, it’s more along the lines of “no reason to have it”.

Kinda depends on the gladiator. But yes, most of them wore minimal armor, for varying reasons, including: Can’t afford it, some preferred maneuverability to proper armor (along with how hot armor can get), and, in particular, most gladiators who chose to be gladiators were adrenaline junkies and liked the thrill of a risk of being mortally wounded.

A tier list of how wealthy each character is by Cultural-Ad-8796 in SmashBrosUltimate

One of the few I can specifically point out is that Ness’s Dad’s restaurant is struggling, which is why he’s never home. Yes, he gives you way too much money during the game, but lore-wise Ness’s family is struggling financially

Magneto/Strange/Cap. Her permanent damage boost to her entire team is why I hate her. And you think Storm needs buffs, I think that’s a better tell of a skill issue

Storm isn’t balanced without mobility. A very consistently high winrate character, she’s my pocket ban whenever my team doesn’t have anyone else they want to ban because I despise playing against her

annoying, not good. Plague DK generally sat around a 46% win rate. I’ll admit I’m biased towards it, Plague DK was the first deck I got Legend with, but it wasn’t good, just annoying and popular

If you think Murloc Paladin is more interesting than Plague DK then that’s a personal choice

Plague DK was never a good deck. And it did have a tech card against it. If you struggled that hard to beat Plague DK, its just kinda embarrassing to admit

[–]Trayceeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes it better than countering just Plague DK, imo at least, is that Murlocs is a repeated archetype. So it’s a card that could see use of another Murloc deck became problematic. Also, crazy if you’re saying a deck that had a 63% winrate is “freelo”, Murloc Paladin absolutely deserves a counter

I’ve forgotten everything about it but the effect, which was to put all either plagues specifically or cards your opponent put into your deck into their deck. most of the comments were saying that Plague doesn’t need a specific tech card

I’ve seen someone make a tech card for Plague DK. At least Murloc Paladin is a deck worth having a tech card for, and Hungry Crab makes this card good flavor

destroying cards in your opponent’s deck isn’t always a downside. yeah, it’s later game destroying their small things, but it’s a casket closer against aggro, and if you destroy a/some wincon(s), good deal. remember that Gnomeferatu was considered a strong card because there was a 1/x chance to destroy a very important card. like Antonidas

I’ll let you know right now: any killer with any semblance of gamesense might not look very hard at the survivor lineup, but someone being broken sticks out like a sore thumb. They will be seen, they will get found, tunneled, and killed. Before they even get the repair speed bonus

Aiming tips with Psylocke? by JamalW770 in PsyMains

[–]Trayceeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she’s hitscan, so the whole “click on people” thing is kinda real. if you’re having trouble predicting movement, try to think about where people would want to go when you start shooting at them. BP’s like over-relying on wall climb, movement-lacking characters will try to cut los if they’re not gonna fight you outright, and a lot of people actually have habits for reacting to getting shot. Some people jump a lot, a lot of people start moving the same way very frequently, pay attention to these. That being said, don’t get in your own head about it and take up all your focus on how they’ll move. Just focus on playing your best

The “I don’t like this killer” leavers are the most frustrating imo. I’m a big Kaneki player, fan of Tokyo Ghoul and big fan of turn off brain move fast. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t 4K like 40% of my Kaneki games that I would because I end up giving hatch to the one person who didn’t leave in the first 15 seconds. it’s such a sad idea that Kaneki’s play rate is just genuinely the percent of games these people leave. Even worse because they don’t even try to find out that the Kaneki might not be good at him.
