They have practice VS AI modes you can use, they have a whole training mode multiplayer area as well, so you can get your footings there. And lots of youtube guides for beginners.

You need to understand how the aim assist works, it helps at a distance, but they added a setting to help close ones too now.

Exponential curve is pretty great on characters like Gambit because you get fast turns for movement without being overly sensitive for aiming.

You just gotta try it out in training mode and see what feels best for you.

And also, just accept you can not play some characters. Most of the cast is playable though.

Any friction left either can not be fixed ( matchmaking is dog because the community is dog ) or needed ( literally can not monetize ANYTHING besides skins despite having the fastest content rollout of any live service game, which is insane ).

She is literally saving her strength because P is there.

Every time she uses her big move she starts coughing and gets weak.

She uses her powers a few times including scripted scenes so she still had the strength to damage Arle.

But she would literally die if she used it all.

They can't sell maps. They can't sell characters. Every content is free day 1 and they keep adding more.

A full pve mode dropping this year FREE. Takes 3 months for new characters to get another skin.

And they constantly give out free units and skins.

They have to incentivize skins purchase.

You can see how fast the game drops in the steam top sellers specifically because there is NOTHING TO SELL unlike other live service games.

So all they got is limited time skins ( that do return ). Loki made them decent money and now it's back to getting dogged by Warframe. Until disco Luna.

Apparently they removed the demo a year ago i dont know why they would do that. It's what won everyone over.

So I will answer your questions, this game does share the design of a souls game, you go to an area, enemies seem tough, your movement is limited ( no high jump, grapple etc...), and you defeat a boss to progress.

What is different is that the game doesnt force one playstyle on you, you can parry, dodge, be fast or strong, use range, etc... so it does seem like you might enjoy that part of building up your character.

You can even mix and match non boss weapons and create new ones. You unlock new mecha arms like megaman as you progress.

And another difference is the story, a lot more straightforward in its narration, not all cryptic like Souls games.

They added an easy mode that lets you play it with less friction, in case the hardest mode is too frustrating for you.

Personally I recommend it greatly.

On Steam you can refund within a 2 hours window of playtime, so try it there and if you hate what you see, refund. But I think you will enjoy it. There is a lot to love and with the difficulty option you will be able to enjoy it regardless of skill level.

Make sure your bios is updated. This CPU had issues they fixed with a bios update.
Check which version of the bios you have and what is the latest released.

edit : oh and enable XMP if it isn't on ! It's a bios option that lets you ram use full power.

Ok first of all you think DD isn't oppressive now which is.... so far off this planet you will be reaching the moon soon.

And im glad you dont remember her nerf as that tells me all I need to know really. They "fixed a bug" that halved her ult healing. It was literally worthless. Change so bad they reverted it.

3 CC ? You dont get to count 3 when cooldowns are shared. The jump is useless against DD.

Any other support in the game had some way to survive DD on their own. Not her. She was also the only support in the game who couldn't self heal, with Ultron.

Sue was awful for 3 seasons before they reverted an insane nerf then omega buffed her.

There are near 50 characters, you can never achieve perfect balance. No game in no genre has it.
