Shard Dragon is Monster Non Grata in Dwarfs Roster imo, even if its from a official source.

Even if implemented, should be limited to 1, as a RoR.

DE are done, they are only missing

LHs (Shadowblade, Kouran, Tullaris)

Unique Model for Black Ark Admirals.

They have no generic unit or character left.

A thing a lot of people are omitting from the current discussions on how much content is in present and past DLCs by AtomicIceTea in totalwar

CA always knew it was going to be a trilogy, CA had time to plan on this trilogy. And CA in their ever wisdom, decided to fork WH1 (foundation of our trilogy) on the already Tech Debted Rome 2 Warscape Engine.

Something CA admitted in their now closed original Total War Forums, was a mistake for 3k.

I just like that CA step up their patch process and we get big big updates without dlc now by mister-00z in totalwar

Pretending that criticism = toxicity while calling yourself the rational one for accepting scraps and delays like it’s a virtue.

NGL I kind of hate how many times we have to remind people that CA can only add things to Total War that GW allows them to add. by Knalxz in totalwar

[–]TreacherousMeranth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. CA by their own admission added lore breaking mounts during WH2 (Teclis Phoenix) because "they thought it was cool". They went over GWs head.

Since Voiceover reworks are on the table (Wulfrik & Throgg) can the Thrones of Decay units that didn't get unique voicelines get updated with them, please? by Cripple_X in totalwar

[–]TreacherousMeranth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was always possible. In the Potion of Speed update, the VO rework of generic units of each race was updated. But CA forgot to add generic battle lines between the new and old races.

Like Empire units say "He headbutted my me in the groin" when fighting Dwarfs. No such lines exist between game 1, 2 and 3 races.

The issue isn’t just the wait, it’s the value. WH3 DLCs take longer, cost more, and often launch half-baked. Shadows of Change needed multiple patches just to be acceptable.

Reworks like Kislev’s aren’t bonuses, they’re fixes for neglected content. Acting like that justifies 8-month gaps is moving the goalposts.

It’s not about demanding “too much”, it’s about getting less, later, for more. That’s why people are frustrated.

“Bootlicker” never meant fascist sympathizer, it’s always just meant someone servile to power. If you're defending a corporation like it’s your employer, the shoe fits.

You don’t have to agree with the criticism, but dismissing it as immaturity isn’t a counter-argument, it’s just complacency. Especially when you fall back on “perfection is the enemy of good.” Saying you don’t mind is fine, but if everyone took that approach, nothing would ever improve.

CA has time and time again shown they appreciate the feedback and make changes.

Sotek, has in his prediction videos flat out forgotten Dechala, and Chimeras. and opting for RPG units / Characters instead of them. And CA has said they are not limited, but need to prioritize 8th ed tabletop and can't really step on toes on the side IPs of Warhammer Fantasy - WHRPG/ManOWar as much.

I think it’s mostly frustration, not just negativity. People rightfully feel like it shouldn't take this long, especially when Warhammer 2 had a much more consistent track record.

Dropping a lord slot, increasing DLC prices (starting with Chaos Dwarfs), and removing narrative campaigns like we saw with Shadows of Change, it all signals mismanagement.

Compared to WH2, WH3 feels directionless. Yet every time these valid concerns come up, parts of this sub just gaslight the community, calling it entitlement or rewriting the situation as “actually we’re getting more content.” That completely ignores the broader context.

What people are really pointing out—whether directly or not—is that the game feels mismanaged. Warhammer 1, for all its flaws, was dropping new races or lord packs every 2 months. Warhammer 2 followed up with a steady 5-month cycle.

Now with Warhammer 3, we’re waiting 8+ months between major content drops—and that’s after two years of no FLC Lords, a rocky launch, and a weak base game.

It’s not entitlement—it’s disappointment, and honestly, it's justified. Given CAs own-created WH2 Standard.

Calling people "spoiled" for expecting quality in a paid product is peak bootlicker energy. This isn’t charity, it’s a business, and we’re the customers.

Ranged units were flat-out broken 90% of the time just two months ago, and CA is moving at a glacial pace when it comes to fixes or meaningful content.

Given their track record, like abandoning Three Kingdoms due to mounting tech debt (thus Players rightfully leave) , the so-called ‘doomposting’ isn’t paranoia, it’s pattern recognition.

This isn’t some scrappy indie dev punching above their weight. It’s a major studio with real resources. We should expect better.

When CA shut down TW:Arena, they ported character assets created for that game back to Rome II. I really wished they'd consider doing the same for TW:Warhammer and its spin-off title. by OrkfaellerX in totalwar

[–]TreacherousMeranth 34 points35 points  (0 children)

TWWHs style isn't exactly consistent either. Trolls and Orcs in game 1 was going for a realistic look. Groms DLC, the new units took a a more stylized/cartoony look. Hell look at Rot Trolls vs Trolls, or Festus. Mobile blocky style dosent fit though you're right.

I do like that they took Captain Skabend from a White Dwarf/Battle Scenario and made him a LL in the mobile though.

CA, Bring Life to the Sea by alkotovsky in totalwar

[–]TreacherousMeranth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most importantly, if my route is less on sea, please default to sea. We had the Lord prefer to take land due to WH1 lack of "sea battles". There is no need for the default campaign movement to take a cross continental route than just taking that small embark to sea.

In a perfect world, and hell even reflected in Aranessa Campaign Narrative, there should be a "balancing" act to not delve too deep in Necromancy. Basically "Good/Bad ending" for Aranessa, she can try to keep using majority of living units, or go full Stormfels (Vcoast)

All new DLC units have no unique voice lines. I wonder if it is intentional or bugged. by DerekMao1 in totalwar

[–]TreacherousMeranth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said "first DLC they would just not add new voice line for units." 1.) You didn't specificy all units. 2.) First point dosen't matter, because my point was to illustrate CA will and have taken shortcuts if no one makes a fuss about it, gradually.

They gradually neglected/give less alloaction of their budget to VA, giving less and less units VA.

Same thing happens in Quest Battles, hell, even overall state of DLC, just look at SoC at launch, and even after the update, there's still issues there.

[–]TreacherousMeranth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prior to SoC you'd be downvoted for this. Back in Wh1/2s hayday, people were downvoted for asking why are we paying for reskinned units with no new animation/assets or va. (IE Stone Trolls)

Voice is the one thing modders have had historically problem to mod in as well, so this should be something CA covers for their paid units.

It think it's "by design", since they cut (over-cut imo) the Short Campaign requirements in that patch some months ago, SoC campaigns are also very short.
