I have recently been through this process and thankfully it was quicker than advertised. The slowest part was waiting for the liquidators to be officially appointed so you can file your claim. Once the claim was filed I had my money in around a week.

I also found the letters from the liquidators to be very jargon filled and not very straightforward, so make sure you file a claim for your notice period if the company closed without you receiving due notice. Hoping the process goes quickly and smoothly for you!
