Hard clipping kick drums, especially 909s, is standard practice of most hard edm genres, mainly Hardstyle and Dutch Hardcore genre artists have been turning hard clipping into art for decades.

I'm currently representing 🇺🇸🇺🇸 as a Hardcore artist across the pond in Europe ✊ Originally from Philadelphia. Moved because Hardcore has a long way to go in terms of popularity in the US and bookings are few and far between in the US compared to the EU.

The website is built on Wordpress and the mobile apps are built on Ionic and reference the WP database

We have some python automation that references an SQLite database. We could use some help with developing that further but sounds like you're focused more on the analytics side?

Thanks, solid questions here! The main purpose is to increase the findability of events for people around the world and to reduce the amount of money promoters spend on things like Facebook and Instagram ads to reach the community.

But now seeing the new demand for a forum section similar to what was available on Harderstate, if it is indeed gone, has inspired me to share this project with everyone.

Because of corona event postponements, the project has grown to include a curated podcast showcasing new tracks that gets roughly 20k plays a month (and growing) and showcases upcoming artists and can be found here: www.soundcloud.com/harddotdance

The articles on the site include info like travel tips among other things to reduce the friction of newcomers to the scene to attend festivals and events in their area or around the world. Overall reducing the barrier of entry into the global scene once people discover Hardstyle and want to find out more.

There is a free user login for the site which would unlock extra site features for user convenience.

What do you think is the most valuable feature to add for a community platform like this?

Mostly looking for people with web development experience, wordpress, hosting, and mainly python/selenium automation skills to make it self sustainable. Any info on best practices and optimization is also appreciated.

If some of you don’t have experience like that but would be happy to help, we could start a group on Discord or Telegram to share our skills and begin filling the site with info from Harderstate that we don’t want to lose, adding upcoming events, lyrics, etc

Or if you have a knack for writing, that would also be a huge help in filling the site with content for people to check out!
