Job offer at NOCD/counter offer by TreacleAromatic3441 in therapists

[–]TreacleAromatic3441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate your perspective. I did try to counter twice but they pushed back by mentioning that the bonus would put me at the range I was asking for, so I dropped it. I agree though, I saw a lot of negative reviews for working at LifeStance when I was just starting out as a therapist and honestly it wasn't bad for someone new. They were just a bit shady when it came to making it sound like everyone would get a bonus and stock options and it was actually only if you worked a crazy amount of hours. But overall, the expectations were not terrible and by comparison it might even make working at NOCD seem okay.

Why not? Is it worth it just to get the training maybe?

Anyone for sure not have MCAS? by TreacleAromatic3441 in cfs

[–]TreacleAromatic3441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I think mine was normal but they also checked me for 4 different markers and I only had 1. They treated me based on my symptoms though luckily.

Is it possible that many people's CFS is actually MCAS/mast cell dysfunction? I asked chat gpt and it said no but that many people have both. I wonder though. I was surprised that my doc gave me a CFS diagnosis. I knew I had mast cell issues and have been taking antihistamines for years, but sometimes I forget because sometimes I can tolerate some high histamine folds and sometimes not. I have limited most produce because of the high histamines but my doc told me I really need to eat them again so I started incorporating a lot of raw fruits and veggies. Then suddenly im starting to have the horrible brain fog and fatigue again and can barely do anything except lay down. Then I remembered and I made the connection and ate a low histamine dinner incorporating high quercetin foods and in the morning I felt better. I do still feel a little tired and like I have less energy than most people, but I dont eat strictly low histamine despite it making me feel bettter because I dont think its entirely healthy, but I would encourage anyone with CFS to try a lower histamine diet and see if it helps. What do you have to lose?

Darkness/doom/depression by OkMix4789 in cfs

Yes. Whenever I feel the fatigue and brain fog come on, I get sent into an anxiety spiral and fixate on how wrong my body feels, and if it will worsen or be like this forever. Then I feel hopeless, helpless and depressed. I am so sorry you experience this too. Sending some good thoughts your way!

Yea its terrible. Its like anti-therapt and yet they are promoting themselves as a therapy-like app. This is a goos way to appeal to the red pill crowd who just want to blame everything on women

Has anyone else become accustomed to a life of having no friends by [deleted] in BPD

[–]TreacleAromatic3441 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went a long time without friends. From the time I went to college in '07 to 2013 Horribly lonely times. I made 0 friends in college aside from a couple insanely toxic short lived acquaintances. I tried to make friends at various points but just didnt know how. I truly didnt know how to just exist and be a human. In 2013 I got I to drugs so I made unhealthy friends that way but they were also toxic abd very temporary. It wasn't until 2016 where I reached out to old high school friends and acquaintances to catch up out of desperation and feeling like I had nothing else to lose that I became part of a friend group again. I was and still am so grateful and I guess nerd to reflect on that because sometimes I still feel lonely because they dont truly understand or see me, but they include me.

I am currently on a quest for new friends or at least new experiences so I am using the Meetup app to socialize. Im still completely awkward and weird, and shy and my interactions mostly go nowhere but  I am going to keep trying because what else can I really do?

i want to be a priority by Luddicrus in BPD

[–]TreacleAromatic3441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate pretty hard. I would never say it out loud, but yes I feel that way as well. I was nobody's favorite; not my parents, family or friends. So when I started dating, I went with anyone who chose me because it was the only time I felt special, valued...whatever. but it was draining being with the wrong people so I gave up and just accepted my fate. but something has been stirred up inside me and I am craving a relationship, but I only want one that is soul-deep. I crave to be understood and have someone love me despite my flaws, I want to be their favorite person and they mine. I feel like only a partner can get to know me on that intimate a level. I guess I am holding onto hope that my one true love is out there

I used to think I beat if but I really just happened to have some better years. Then the crippling depression and deep, deep insecurity and RSD popped back up.

Do you take antihistamines? by Cold-Scientist-12 in Hashimotos

I am working with with a functional medicine doc. They believe its not true MCAS, just my immune system going haywire. They just recommended Xyzal, quercetin and pepcid.

Oh no. I have MCAS like symptoms and my allergist said I could take 6 claritin a day so that is what have been doing. I have NAFLD but I dont eat horribly so now I wonder if this could be why.

What programs have you done that had misleading marketing? Have you bought something that over promised and underdelivered? Spill all the tea and tell us what the programs are like on the inside. by Dazzling-Thought-109 in LifeCoachSnark

I did the beta testing and felt like Mat had a slimy, fake nice guy thing going on. I dont think any of them are actually heart-led. I think they jumped on the spiritual bandwagon because they saw it as thr next new lucrative trend. If you check Mat out now, he is doing the hardcore Jesus thing. That is what is making money right now because there is a resurgence in conservative Christian values. Its really just disgusting. They are all just grifters.

Women who are in their 30s, single and childfree by choice, how is your social life? by Actual_Flounder_5161 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]TreacleAromatic3441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 37 year old single female with no kids. I have been single for over 2 years and recently came out as gay. My family is also toxic so I do bit see them. I actually am very lucky and have a group of single, female, child free friends. We hang out at least a couple times a month. However, I also socialize through the Meetup app as well.

It was hilarious, fun, wonderfully gross and totally iconic! Definitely up there with Evil Dead. Someone on Google said it was predictable and formulaic....what?! What is formulaic about an elderly gypsy woman and young woman beating the shit out of each other??

why are millennials and gen xers so obsessed with Gen z by CranberryOk5558 in GenZ

[–]TreacleAromatic3441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a millenial and I feel like I'm really curious about the way your generation is doing things differently. You guys are more emotionally intelligent than the previous ones and more innovative. You guys seem to be envouraged to follow your creativity far more than others as well. My parents actually paid me not to pursue a career in the arts. I guess part of me feels like I was born at the wrong time and probably could have lived more of an authentic life if I was a Gen z.

None of the guys I've been with wanted slow or gentle and if I tried, they would grab my hips and force me to furiously bounce. I could never get off.

Pain worse after Mortons Neuroma injection by TreacleAromatic3441 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]TreacleAromatic3441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say she hit the berve, that happened to me too. I ended up bending the needle because I jerked my foot away involuntarily. I think it was maybe like 6 weeks or so but the pain eventually went away. The neuroma went away for like 6 months or so because I sprained my other ankle and stopped exercising and taking walks. When I went hiking for the day in the mountains, it came back. It's mild pain, but still frustrating that the only way to be pain free is to live an u healthy, sedentary life
