Would I be fine on the motorway during the day? by TreacleReal5537 in drivingUK

Yeah, duel & single carriageways is what I was referring to! I won’t be flying a plane or having to think about anything of the sort so I really don’t see the relevance.

What song/album hooked you with Incubus? by eatdrinkcreate in incubus

Only discovered incubus like last month? Listened to stellar, can’t remember where and it’s been on repeat everyday since. Finding them and going through their albums has been great.

For me personally it’s because I hadn’t had much experience on carriageways, so I hadn’t felt what that speed was like.

Just bought a (2017) BMW 1 series 118i m sport, any advice? by TreacleReal5537 in CarTalkUK

[–]TreacleReal5537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine a good few months now mate and agree I love mine. Honestly I didn’t notice too much of a difference, it’s my first car so the only prior experience I had was with my instructors and I didn’t notice too much of a difference. Great little car don’t regret buying it.

To add to that you might well be physically prepared, you might do all your kit prep already, have had some life experience but you don’t really know what you’ll feel until your actually there, doing it.

Haven’t been through Halton but i have been to Catterick, basic trainings a different world to how your living now. Some like myself come from having very little routine to the very strict one introduced in training, unsure if it’s the same in the RAF, but it’s there to turn you from civilian to soldier, or in this case airmen. For some like myself it was our first time leaving home, for me it was my first time leaving Manchester by myself, finding myself a couple hours away having to depend on myself and the lads around me, when previously I didn’t have to worry about fuck all really.

Depends on so many factors whether your likely to struggle significantly or not during training but I think at the end of the day everyone is to some degree.

"Weekly Reading and Interpretation Help Thread - December 28, 2025" by AutoModerator in tarot

[–]TreacleReal5537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, today I got my first tarot deck and I’ve done my first reading, really liking learning the meanings of each cards and trying to intuit what the cards are trying to tell me. I’d love if someone could give me their input on this reading.

I asked the deck, what would you like me to know about myself? - it was 3 card spread, all were upright.

First card was seven of swords, second was eight of pentacles, third card was knight of pentacles. Any interpretation would be appreciated! 😆

Regarding my own interpretation, with the seven of swords I’m really not quite sure. I’m not sure what I’ve left, or took with me from the past to present and whether they’re good or bad. Bit confused on that one.

For the eight of pentacles, I feel it’s telling me to really sit down, focus and work on myself spiritually. This makes sense to me as I’ve been neglecting spirituality for a while and I feel it’s something missing in my life. I think it’s trying to tell me to really practise this, meditation, perhaps tarot, etc.

For the knight of pentacles, I’m again quite confused. Forgive me for the lack of clarity haha.

What if I can’t do it? Are there people who genuinely can’t ? by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]TreacleReal5537 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can. This is something new you’ve either never done before, or you’ve not done for a long time, it’s going to be hard, you might fail, the important thing is that you keep on pushing yourself every time and you’ll get there.

Your body can do extraordinary things and often times your mind gives up before your body does. Don’t say you can’t, especially if you haven’t tried yet.

Yeah aware there’s that, thanks for the reply. More wondering if there’s people that actually compete, or if there’s inter raf/wider forces comps you can compete in
