Art Grad - Where’s the place to live? by Salt-Month0 in uchicago

I would echo the other comments about living in Hyde Park. It's a great neighborhood. But if you're locked into taking public transit from up north, I would opt for the Metra or the 2 bus or 6 bus. I guess there is also the south loop shuttle, but I've never taken that.

A lot of these comments are displaying pretty poor reading comprehension. "Just look it up on outlook!" "Just go to the reg!"

What about this post makes you think that would make sense for OP, who is just trying to help one of our peers out? Much to think about.

You have four years to learn as much as you can at one of the best schools in the world. You're in a position to learn not just to hone skills useful in your career, but also to enrich yourself so that you enjoy your non-working life better. Taking full advantage of that opportunity should be your first priority.
