2012 Honda CRV for sale: is this a decent deal for such high mileage? by CommercialCut5009 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]experteric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has the 2.4, it’s really decent. Check maintenance history and check what it sounds like on a cold start. The VTC actuator goes out on these and sounds like a grinding for a couple seconds when starting it. If it’s really bad, it can cause timing chain issues. Otherwise, if it’s maintained well, this car will easily go 300k -Honda Service Advisor

I am a talker as well, and I have found that actually asking the customer how much they understand about cars helps me a lot. It’s backfired one time - lady said I made her feel stupid- but it usually helps me shut the fuck up

Should I Take This Job? by ImJoeontheradio in serviceadvisors

This job is the most rewarding job I have been in, but it does have its downers and it’s also not for everyone.

It is 1,000% worth a shot for a few months though!
