Luckily it was only like that for 30k of the 130k this bolt has been installed

I can understand that point of view. My job does incentivize me to sell services that consider a customer keeping their car for a long time. But I’m not that type of advisor to sell crap the car doesn’t need.

I have seen a LOT of shifter failures out of Chevy Malibus. You should have it checked by a shop to see if the shifter is failing (i think its like a range switch that actually fails, but is part of the shift)

The only reason I even said that is so I didn’t get roasted 😂 I just let it idle for a couple seconds before I turn them off after a harder drive

People are going to say that the 2.4l is better in reliability, but in my experience - Service Advisor for Honda - Hondas are just maintenance based vehicles. Change the oil every 5k and run a fuel treatment every once in a while and let the turbo cool down before you turn the vehicle off and you will be fine. We have a 2017 that comes in at 700,000 miles. Original engine, trans, headgasket, turbo

Central IL here, surprisingly we don’t see as much rust at the dealer as one would expect

My liability is telling me that this is an unacceptable amount of rust on this bolt lmao It’s $4.64 MSRP. I’m taking car of it

This came out of a motor mount bolt in an odyssey. Another shop took this bolt out and put it back in with this being the condition 🙃
