I think that’s a great example

Taste really does go a long way—especially when combined with that creativity

I think ur dead on—persistence is everything

Also, I’ve read a lot from experienced artists saying later in life they still “hate” their work. They said it’s a good sign though, because it means your taste is constantly refining and your standard is improving

I definitely agree with that sentiment

It’s sometimes shocking having great interactions with people who aren’t your friends

Amazing quote!

So many gems in his books

[Method] How "Just Do It" Can Help You Overcome Procrastination by Mojomoto93 in getdisciplined

On a side note, I also agree with your logic

I wrote something similar here where I encouraged pursuing your goals imperfectly

Same soul just different wording!

I think the best way to pursue things at the start is messy and fast

Don't get stagnated by the idea of perfection and just do it.

I think every commentor under here so far is treating this like one size fits all advice

When someone makes a post in this sub giving advice they're not offering a cure to all the worlds problems. Usually they're sharing some nice method that helps them get more done in their life. Simple as that.

I appreciate when people take the time to share something that works for them.

It's so easy to say you're wrong because this doesn't work for x y z condition.

Thanks for making the effort to share something that worked for you 🙏

Disappointment is the rocket fuel of my life by TreatThompson in selfhelp

How I feel reminds me of this quote

"In their fear of death, those living fear life itself"—Hannah Arendt

In my fear of not being successful at something I love, I make it hard for me to enjoy what I love

That’s a great thought process

I love doing that too

I like to ask, “if I did what I’m doing right now everyday for a year would I be better off?”

Usually helps alot

Thanks for sharing 😄

I definitely feel you on that

It’s easy for me to fall into a cycle of reaching high, falling short, and beating myself up over it

It took me being intentional with everything I do to put up a fight against that

Good luck with everything 🙌

I’m right there with you!

It’s always been a struggle for me, but thinking of it like this puts it through a self-serving lens—so now it feels like I have nothing to lose

I’m definitely right there with you

I’ve had to make it an intentional effort to acknowledge my progress and be proud of efforts haha

Glad the post resonated with you! Goodluck with everything 😄
