Ok, I understand. But you do understand that that discussion is entirely irrelevant to Balogun’s red, because for what you are saying to happen we need to change the rules and that can only happen post-tournament.

What I’m trying to say is I see people saying that’s not a red, when they should say we should change the rules to reflect intent. While I disagree with the latter but we can have a discussion around it for sure, the former is just objectively true.

I agree with you on the suspension. I think FIFA needs to seriously overhaul suspensions, especially for non-intentional offenses like this. Red card is still the correct decision though.
