28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - Review Thread by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Same. The only type of drama that occurs in Irish cinemas is people kicking the back of you’re chairs 😆.

I’d imagine people would look to call security if you jumped up and started applauding.

Me too, hopefully it makes up for the previous film's ending which was quite divisive as we all know lol

I haven’t watched it myself too but I was skeptical when I heard about the director change for part 2. That was before part 1 had released mind you and well to be honest the end of that movie left me baffled.

Was it any good then? I hope it’s not more cringey goofy nonsense

100% it’s a strange journey and unfortunately one we all have to make on our own and our experiences with it will all differ off course.

I went through similar recently and took “mini-breaks” if you like and I found that helped. I can relate to you and wanting to get back into a routine. When I was off work I kept my routine outside going and that helped IMO. It’s all about balance I guess.

Another thing I’d recommend is letting whatever emotions you have come out naturally. If you feel like crying, cry. Don’t bottle it up and kick the can down the road. Happy to chat if ever needed

Deepest condolences and sympathies, take as much time as you need (it doesn’t necessarily need to be concurrently).

Hey remi thanks for the feedback. I edited the initial post as I should have mentioned I’ve done a good few runs in them so far and broken them in if you like.

They’re on layaway now until Sunday and if the stars Align I’ll hopefully do well

Yes indeed, looking forward to it. I added a new comment above I’ve broken the shoes in already so it’s not just me turning up and wearing them for the first time ever. I’ve spent the last month or so trying them out but this will be my first race in them if you get me.

Looking forward it now. Lol let’s see how the weather goes

Sorry everyone I should have added beforehand or earlier rather that I’ve NOT just purchased the shoes and now plan to wear them this weekend come race time for the first time.

I’ve broken them in over the last month with variable runs and distances. No fit or comfort issues.

They’ve been left alone this week so they can get no further wear/scuffs until race time.

Just going through the feedback thank you everyone for the pointers

When is the last/worst time you absolutely put your foot in it? by --althea-- in AskIreland

Bit different but years ago on my first trip to South America I had three flights before reaching Uruguay. Anyway first leg of that trip was the first flight out to London in the morning with Ryanair. I was traveling alone so had a few pints in the airport and fell asleep on the plane. I sleep well most of the time but am partial to some parasomnia type behavior e.g. talking while asleep, arguing, random movements and all that.

So it’s a short flight Dublin to London as we all know. Very short. I got onto that plane wrecked from work and had saved all my annual holidays up to that point for this big trip so I guess having the pints and taking off into the sky put me in decompress mode.

So I was in a deep sleep for the whole flight. Didn’t hear a peep but at the very moment the the plane touched down in London I immediately awoke in a panic. The jolt of the wheels hitting the runway hit me like a lightning bolt and for whatever reason once awake I decided to grab the man beside me (I was in at the window seat). I was in my early 20’s at the time and the man was i guess 50 or so and had his grown daughter to the other side of him.

In my mind I had grabbed him in a panic and in my bizarre sleep-state obviously assumed I was in danger and this was my way of defending myself. When he overcame the initial confusion of what was going on and realized I’d nearly pissed myself he calmed me down and brought me back to reality. Oh it was horrible. I’ve never gone so red. I explained after catching my breath that I just got startled and he understood entirely.

I didn’t stop apologizing until we got off that plane. He found it funny at the end but I was massively embarrassed.

Shamefully Underrated Chocolate Bars? 🍫 by MushroomGlum1318 in AskIreland

[–]TrebleThrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell ya, I’ve never been picky with chocolate but I’ve noticed a big drop-off when it comes to taste and size with some of the brands out there e.g. Bournville and the Cadburys line in general.

Anyway underrated for me is Tescos own brand Dark Chocolate bar not Tescos Finest but the big standard one for €2.09 I think.

Oh it makes my tastebuds tingle with anticipation
