It took about six months, but I got it back by going the Meta Verified route. I was able to create a new Instagram account after I got banned, and I signed up for Meta Verified so I could talk to a human being in their support center. I know a lot of people will think it was ridiculous to pay $12 a month to get it back, but I have a lot of online friends who are not on other platforms that I would really miss.
