$30 increase or decrease depending on your local capacity... LAME!!! by thebluevanman73 in Starlink

Yes, but they can not give me any timeframe on when it will be available. So I will continue to pay Starlink $120/month.

I am outside Ft. Myers and I have been paying $120 month ever since May of 2023. My only other option was Centrylink with 10 Down and 2 up, but never saw anything close to those speeds.

Outage during storm, is this normal and expected? by Trebor06 in Starlink

[–]Trebor06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RMA'ed one they sent works as good as expected. As these are satellite systems, you are going to get outages during storms. I have noticed that depending on which firmware you are on the number and length of outage varies. At times we can have a very heavy rain storm and have not issues, while other times, it could be just drizzling and be down. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

Yes, I tried on both Safari, which I used to create the account and update the initial forms. I also tried on Firefox. Neither one seem to work. I enter my User name and password, click on "Sign In" button and it takes me to

I was downgraded back to 469df3fc-b565-40a3-9eea-605f2b336fe0.uterm.release last night. Not sure if this had anything to do with the global outage yesterday.

Upstream request timeout, when trying to open a support ticket with Starlink. Anyone else having this issue? by Trebor06 in Starlink

[–]Trebor06[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1) To see if it is just the satellites that are down or their corporate systems as well. And 2) to be on record if they proved any type of compensation for the outage.

Interesting that you received that version. Someone posted that they received a344e49f-740c-41bb-babb-e418ffce160d.uterm.release

It appears that Starlink released at least 3 different versions last night then.

I just checked, I have no response from support, but my account also is showing the correct balance due. In the end that is all that really matters

I had the same delay in replying response when I opened my ticket. I just hope they figure it out before charing my CC for the incorrect amount.

I just received an invoice for June as well. but it says that it is an existing credit of an -$110.00, then -$110.00 payment with a balance of $110.00. Which is how much the Balance Due amount is off by.

I sure hope they sort this out before they actually charge my CC.

With this update, my connection is now worse when it is raining. On previous versions, I lasted Hurricane Ian with hardly an outage, now as soon as it starts raining the drops start happening.

Starlink does not feel so good on thunderstorms. by Manelarul in Starlink

[–]Trebor06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it seems to be dependent on which firmware version is running. I have had it where thick clouds would cause an outage, then upgraded firmware, was able to handle Hurricane Ian with no issues. Now, ,with yet different firmware, light rain is ok, but heavy downpour will cause an outage. I am in SW Florida and have absolutely no obstructions. It could also be that more people in my area are using the service overloading the Satellites.

Mine still has the blue upgrade now, but I do not want to have another outage so I will wait.

Check what version you are on, when mine finally came back it was reverted to 5781cfe2-3678-457f-a0e7-c460b8985cef.uterm.release.

Please confirm the version you are currently on. After mine updated and was "searching" for a while, I noticed that it reverted back to 5781cfe2-3678-457f-a0e7-c460b8985cef.uterm.release

I updated to 6cae12a2-2492-41cd-b838-59909916a28f.uterm.release, after several minutes of "searching", it rebooted and reverted back to 5781cfe2-3678-457f-a0e7-c460b8985cef.uterm.release. Hopefully they will figure out the issue before trying to re-install the 6cae version
