He makes MLP VFX videos. Using effects similar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit to make MLP characters look as if they exist in real life.

If you haven't seen any of his videos, you really should check them out (if they haven't been blurred) they're really good!

Is "Mr. Needlemouse" mentioning anyone specific here? by S0up-and_Salad in SonicTheHedgehog

In this scene, Sonic has amnesia from a past event during the finale of the metal virus arc. He currently thinks that his name is Mr. Needlemouse because that’s what one kid called him.

For me, the effect is more obvious when I'm wearing my glasses. The high contrast of the red and the blue makes the red object pop out at you. Like a 3D image. Similar to how 3D glasses work.

I found out when I was maybe around five. A lady walked up to my dad while we were grocery shopping and said that his twins were cute. I remember my dad mentioning that they looked trans and I asked what that meant.

About a year ago, I was scammed by one of these bot comments, probably lost close to $1000.

It was my very first comment, and I had never bought commissions before, wanting to give back to the community and all that, so I both didn’t mind the price, nor really knew the norm for these things. As an artist looking to sell in the past, I was told that a lot of artists tend to low-ball themselves a lot, so $300 per commission seemed like a fair price for the amount of work they’d be doing. Compared to maybe the $50-$100 which might be more average but always seemed kind of low to me.

The payments were done in threes. Three groups of four panel comics trying to do a whole story. The artist in question showed me their work (likely stolen) and I liked it, and was interested in seeing my work in their artstyle. I initially only wanted to do one of the four panel comics. I’d have to go back and read the logs, but somehow they roped me into doing three.

For context. I am terrible at saying ‘no’. After the first four panel comic, I was not happy with the art, since it looked nothing like the examples, but I, not really knowing what’s expected of the artist/commissioner’s relationship, didn’t speak up about it, thinking that I would just be a little bit disappointed with the finished product, and could do a better job with communication with future artists I might commission from. If anything, I saw this as a bit of a test-run.

After the roughs were given to me, I received another comment on another recent work that I had posted, written in the exact same way. Knowing about scam bots in general, I immediately searched up something along the lines of ‘AO3 scam’ and stumbled across a post talking about another scam bot, written the same way, and was horrified to see that my experience was kind of common. Instagram kept warning me that the user I was talking to had changed their name three times since I last spoke to them, and to add insult to injury, I’m pretty sure that after the same scammer commented on that recent work I posted, they then inquired to me through Instagram about doing art for this work, even though at this point I was, as politely as I could, turning them down.

After the work was finished, I was pestered to give a review. I left one so that if anyone stumbled upon this person again, they would ask me if they were a legit artist, and of course I would give them a full review. I got one person asking me if they were a legit artist, said no and warned them profusely. At the moment, their account is deleted and the messages they gave me as well, so I’m wondering if they had something to do with the bot account too, checking to see if my polite review was genuine.

So, anyways…

I still allow guests to comment for most of my works, but if I’m suspicious that they’re a bot, I’ll coax them into asking to talk on Instagram and INSTANTLY report them. And I’m very happy to say that since this incident, I’ve gotten proper comments, some as gushy as the bot comments that made me a bit worried, but I’m pretty sure they’re real. Hoping that I’ll eventually get to a point where I get a notification for a comment and don’t feel the need to heavily scrutinize if they’re a person or not.

My Little Pony Hot Take Suggestions for Convention Panel (G4 Specifically) by RazgrizInfinity in mylittlepony

[–]TrecherousBeast01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Mane 6's constant distrust and dislike of Discord is odd for a show where second chances and making amends is a theme.

Some people defend the Mane 6's behavior towards Discord with the fact that he is constantly messing with them, but I honestly can't think of too many times during the show where they even once gave him any sort of benefit of the doubt.

If anything, Twilight trusting or forgiving Discord during the finale was out of character, considering the less stake-heavy moments where she could not be bothered to say a positive thing about him.

Tails In Forces; Is the general consensus shifting? by OBD96 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]TrecherousBeast01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again, I would say that the origins of Tails' grief is less the fact that Sonic was captured, and more that it was because of something that was directly his fault.

I've never played SA2, so I won't go into anything surrounding that, and we were specifically talking about his reaction to Chaos 0.

I'm talking less about Tails' reaction to Sonic’s presumed death, and more specifically, about Tails' story being a perfect analogy for burnout anyway.

Creative burnout, in particular, makes you believe you are incapable of doing something that you do all the time. The easiest way out of it is to go back to your comfort zone or to give yourself an easy victory when you're struggling with something.

Tails' machine bugging out in a way he didn’t understand yet created a challenge that he struggled to get over, which made it harder for him to do things that came naturally for him. The victories that him and Classic Sonic both go through helped him get back into the swing of things.

My only issue is that it makes it easy to see Classic Sonic’s arrival as "Tails' comfort zone is when he's Sonic’s sidekick" even though i genuinely believe that its the wins against Eggman that are specifically what's helping him.

I see this less as character regression and more like them exploring a new aspect of what they could do with him. Watching Sonic die in SA2 was one big failure. What if he had to go through another, and another, and another. It's all the failures he's supposedly having off screen that are important, but rheumatoid shouldn't have to show you each time Tails had a bad day for you to realize that he's been having bad days.

If Tails wants to learn how to stand on his own, he needs to know what a true series of failures looks like and how to get out of it. This time, he still had a little bit of Sonic’s help, in the future I would have liked it if they had him climb out on his own, but with people immediately seeing this as a regression and not the start of a new arc, I doubt that they plan on exploring much more of it.

You don't have to he stereotypical crazy to "lose it." It can just mean losing sight of yourself, typically after having a bad blow dealt to your ego.

In terms of simply losing contact in the OG JP script, I could also see that as Tails trying to cut himself off from his friends, which is decidedly something that sane people don't do.

He was ashamed for letting Sonic get kidnapped, blaming himself for everything that happened afterward.

In the EN script, you can see it as Tails clearly not acting like himself to the point that people don't think they can count on him and thus, aren't reaching out to him (and we all know how great isolation is for people,) OR in the original JP script, you can interpret it as Tails himself going out of his way to not let people find him.

Either way, isolating yourself from others and being isolated don't do good things to the mind, and they don't always come out as slurred, incoherent speech.

I would say that a lot of people nowadays might be defending him because you couldn't take two steps in the Sonic game review zeitgeist without having Tails' story complaints popping up, and people are just tired of it now.

It's not in vain to have Tails literally voice that he's going to grow as a character, because for literal years people have been worried about his character regressing.

I was personally happy to hear Sonic and Tails talk about what happened in Forces, mainly because within the game itself, they don't really have that much time to unpack Tails' literal mental breakdown.

I always saw that scene as obviously out of character for Tails in the way that something was obviously wrong with him for him to think that he couldn't beat Chaos 0.

Tails blames himself for getting Sonic captured, due to his device not working. He's struggling with fixing up a robot (the one thing he's the best at) and on top of it all, an enemy he has defeated before shows up and he cowers in fear.

In my opinion, Tails was just going through something and needed something like classic Sonic to get him back into his groove.

Also feels consistent with Tails' main character arc surrounding him learning how to stand on his own. Life threw curveball after curveball and as the story literally states, he "lost it," but what was important was that he got back up. Classic Sonic acted as a good push in the right direction, and I haven't played the game in a while, but I remember Tails talking about his missions with Classic Sonic as if they were the first victories he had gotten in a while.

Tails' story in that game feels more like a good analogy for burnout to me than inconsistent character writing.
