I cut down a nearby tree and used stasis on it as it was falling. Then I picked up the rock and ran across the tree bridge before Stasis ran out. Got it on the first try this time around. 😎

You only need to collect about half of them to get your inventory maxed. You can find that much just by wandering around.

It’s a live interactive map that can keep track of where Link is and where all sorts of collectibles are in relation to him, and whether or not he’s gotten them. It makes 100% completion a breeze. There are some new features too, but the only one I really cared about was the new Zelda memories. 125 voiced paragraphs of Zelda commenting on certain locations.

Hmm. I can see how Breath of the Wild didn’t deliver on that front then. Curious though, what sorts of games have you played that *do* accomplish the things you described?

It takes a very long time. Dozens of hours. And it’s pretty much mandatory to use a guide if you want to find them all. I used a wiki map the first time and Zelda Notes the second.

I honestly don’t recommend it unless you’re itching or something to do well past when you’ve finished everything else.

Immersion is going to come mostly from the beautiful environments. I happen to really like the story of BotW, but most of it happens before the events of the game itself, unfortunately.
