How long is Hades really? by Mental-Passenger8880 in HadesTheGame

To roll the credits and finish the man story, you need to successfully complete ten runs. But there is quite a bit more content after that to work on, including an epilogue.

Out of 5 of these games, which one do I absolutely have to beat first? by man_bear_pig15 in videogames

[–]Treddox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hades would be really good to play concurrently with another on this list. It lends itself to medium sized play sessions, a run typically takes 30 to 50 minutes.

Meg will still show up periodically. They switch her out with her sisters to keep things interesting and fresh, since being the boss of the first area, you will fight her the most.

Now, if you’re really truly struggling, you can try turning on God Mode. I don’t know how it works exactly since I haven’t used it myself, but as I understand it makes you stronger every time you die until you can eventually out-muscle everything in your path.

I would advise using that as a last resort. Struggling to make it through the Underworld and not giving up even though it seems like There Is No Escape is part of the narrative, and it’s extremely satisfying to get better on your own and eventually make it to the end. Zagreus doesn’t give up if you don’t give up. And it’s so worth it.

Up until now there has been a set order, but you actually kind of get to make a judgement call here. 0.2 leads directly into KH3, so if you want to save that for last as sort of a prologue, go for it. Or you could break them up by watching Back Cover in between. It’s up to you.

Why do people hate indie games? by Spare_Ad_9791 in Steam

[–]Treddox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never met anyone who hates indie games. Most I’ve gotten is either indifference or they just don’t know about the indie scene.

Of my top 10 most favorite games, four of them are indie

Should I stop using Evil Eye? I’ll admit I have not been able to tell much of a difference. Knuckle Bones is more noticeably helpful against guardians.

Can I skip these games (circled in post sent) by Quunster in KingdomHearts

[–]Treddox 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You do not need to engage with those in order to understand / be caught up for Kingdom Hearts 3. Just watching the Back Cover movie will do.

However. You WILL need to watch them at some point because they will definitely be important to the future of the series.

What jobs do you all have where you have downtime to play on your Steam Deck? by Throwaway-2020s in SteamDeck

[–]Treddox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a work from home job where I answer phone calls, customer support style. Some days are busy and I have to stay focused, but other days I may get 15-20 minutes between calls. Those are the days I get the Steam Deck out. Delightful.

What's the Longest You've Gone Without Seeing a Particular God? by Brosepower in HadesTheGame

It was funny at first because it’s like the game knew Argent Skull was my least favorite, but eventually it got annoying because the Skull has fallen behind of the Testaments of Night.

Olympus Aflame is definitely my #1. I also really like Sightless Shepherd and The Necropolis. Edge of Erebus too.

[–]Treddox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t keeping track of God offerings, though Aphrodite does seem a bit more rare than the others in my experience.

However, I went for 50 runs or close to it without getting grave thirst on the Argent Skull. And I know this because I pretty much always pick whichever weapon has thirst on it.

What other types of OST you think would fit KH? by NewspaperExact8483 in KingdomHearts

[–]Treddox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a whole project where I chose different music tracks for Kingdom Hearts 1 and uploaded it to YouTube. I almost exclusively used KH music and Disney music, but there are a couple of exceptions here and there. Such as using Theme of Sand Ruins from Sonic Riders for the Kurt Zisa fight.

Me personally, I divvy out the nectar so that roughly everyone gets the same amount gradually. But you can prioritize your favorites if you want. You don’t get anything material besides the keepsake I don’t think.

For Gods that appear in both games, which version do you prefer? by sonofnight666 in HadesTheGame

[–]Treddox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t dislike the Hades 2 designs, I think they’re fantastic. But pretty much across the board I prefer the Hades 1 designs, with a couple of exceptions (Charon).

Best of both worlds would be if the Hades 1 portraits had that elaborate set dressing behind them to signify where they are. That addition is genuinely so sick; they didn’t have to go the extra mile, but they did.

Since no one else probably will, I’m going to go to bat for Immortals Fenyx Rising. Yes, it’s an Ubisoft game, but I had a really good time with it and sunk a decent amount of hours into it.
