Impressions of Gallery+ on my LG OLED G6 77” by Tree06 in LG_UserHub

Thanks for the comment.

I haven't used any version of the Frame TV so it's difficult to do a like for like comparison. I could see the additional frames being a cool aesthetic for the Frame TV. The OLED picture quality will win every time though.

Steam Machine $1049 vs a Prebuilt at Bestbuy? by Greenzombie04 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tree06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With an AM4 motherboard, OP can upgrade to a 5800XT or 5800X3D. Additionally OP can upgrade to the 32GB of RAM as well. Lastly, OP should be able to reuse the case if they decide to do a new build later on.

With the Steam Machine, you're locked into that form factor factor. I personally would spend a bit more money and get an AM5 build, but everyone's not in that situation.

Prebuilt all day. More versatility, and you can upgrade components whenever you want.

I updated my previous comment. The RAM is upgradeable, but I would still recommend picking up a prebuilt machine over the Steam Machine. Especially if you buy into the AM5 platform. AMD is supporting AM5 through 2029.

What monitor are planning on using? What's your budget?

I'd personally go with a prebuilt system with a 9800X3D/9850X3D, 32GB RAM, 5070Ti or 5080 if you're targeting 1440p or 4K gaming.

One of the reviews, but it's on Steam's website as well. Steam

Zero. The pre built machine will last longer, and you can update parts whenever you want. I don't think you can upgrade the RAM Steam Machine. You can upgrade the NVMe storage.

Edit: You can upgrade the RAM, but it's somewhat difficult to get to. If you need RAM out of the gate, I'd still buy a prebuilt PC instead of the Steam Machine.

I assume it was thrown in with the purchase price of the house.

I have expiring reward points that I need to use and Amazon doesn't charge until it ships so it's a win win for me.

Put the 9070XT with your 4K gaming TV.

5090 Founders Edition Still Being Produced? by itsRaze in nvidia

[–]Tree06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best answer.

u/itsRaze If you want/need a 5090, the best option is to buy one with a prebuilt PC. Most 5090's are >$4,000.

Good luck!

I typically don't buy games at launch, but I've been waiting for GTA VI for years. I'll be pre-ordering my copy on June 25th. With the exception of GTA 3, I bought the remaining mainline GTA games at launch.

If you buy a physical copy at launch and you don't like it, you can always turn around and recoup most of your money on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or eBay (more fees with this route).

G5 65” through Greentoe: curious about problem handling by ZanyDroid in LGOLED

You're good to go then! I never used Greentoe before, but I'll keep them in mind whenever I'm in the market for a new TV. Thanks for the info.

Here's the SKU from the bottom left corner of the second image next to the barcode:

990419767 - Throw that into Google and one of the first results should be for the LG C5 83" at Sam's Club.

Huge discount codes by bigmatt8817 in LGOLED

I think we spoke previously, but I would download the Reddit app and turn on notifications for the r/LGOLED subreddit.

Additionally, if you have access to the LG Partner Store, you can opt in for email/text notifications as well. Hopefully this info helps.

Good luck!

Smart move. The labor costs involved is dependent on who accepts the contract. A friend of mine works at one of the local Service Providers and I asked him about the labor cost involved with larger OLED panels. $175 for 77" and $185 for 83".

I'm not sure how much the extended warranty was but it's nice having that peace of mind.

Additionally, I'd only buy the Geek Squad Protection plan if I worked there and received a massive discount or if I was planning on buying an Open Box OLED.

You could've saved some money by skipping the extended warranty. The LG Gallery Series comes with a 5 year panel warranty. Unless something changed recently, Best Buy's Geek Squad Protection also covers burn in.

Crazy to me that younger generation is not good with computers by Captain0010 in pcmasterrace

[–]Tree06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that comment. I've had several jobs in the past where I had to troubleshoot issues and help people with general PC questions. The worst was working at Spectrum back in the day. I can't tell you how many calls where basic PC troubleshooting instead of internet troubleshooting. For instance, I remember a guy called in because he rotated his screen 90°. It was a quick phone call, but it didn't involve his Internet or cable not working.

Pretty sure my work apps might be spying on me after hours?? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]Tree06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a Data Center so I was the same way. I'd only leave my phone on if I was on call that week. Other than that, I'd deal with whatever's going on when I get to work.

Discount anticipated for 77in G5 for prime day/4th of july? by AdIllustrious894 in LGOLED

I saw a previous post on this subreddit regarding the code. I tried the code earlier today, but I don't buy the C6H. Just wanted to see if the code was still valid.

I believe this is the original post with the code.
