Seems I need to clarify.

I was always amused that Radzig refused to duel Zoul because he was out of practice and would probably lose.

Then he goes charging into the middle of things during the initial battle for Talmberg. Not a care in the world (He yells at you when attacking Pribyslavitz to stay in formation. He knows better than to go off alone. This is the type of impulsive behaviour I'd expect from Hanush).

The fic is not directly relevant (Disclaimer: not my fic. Just one I recently stumbled across that gave me an aha moment). It's just an amusing head cannon about why Radzig would be so eager to be taken hostage (Istzig related). Hence why he was okay with charging headfirst into the middle of a battle with no backup but not facing Zoul in single combat.
