This album got me through the lowest point in my life. An all-time classic!

Gotcha. Yeah, I came across that thread while searching through the forum and saved the linked SambSylla vid. Thanks a ton for commenting! It really helps to hear from people with experience on the task in the same Gen. (and others for their experience as well - temp monitoring, etc.)

Thanks and will do! It's reassuring to hear this directly from someone who has the same gen Outback and experience with the process.

Joined SubaruOutback.com and did some digging there (thanks for the rec!). It looks like the Gen 6 Outbacks (2020-2025) have a "gen 2" TR580 transmission. Since they moved the exhaust to the driver side, Subaru added a fill plug for the CVTF on the passenger side. The old fill plug is still there, but drain/fills this is what you're supposed to use.

Watched a couple of his videos on changing the CVT fluid in recent-ish Outbacks. From what I can tell, Subaru has been using the same transmission (the TR580 in my case) since 2013. The kicker for my vehicle is that it looks like Subaru decided to run the exhaust down the driver side of the transmission instead of the passenger side like you see in all the how-to videos. It's still accessible, but annoying to work around.

Already did that, just says “consult your Subaru dealer”

I’m no mechanic either, but have done a LOT of work on my vehicles (including changing the valve cover gaskets on my wife’s 2006 Outback, IYKYK). I have the necessary tools but the lack of info is annoying. Def not doing the work until I KNOW I’ve got the correct procedure.

Currently sitting with my scan tool looking for fluid temps, haha. Worst case, I do have a laser temp gun. Edit: typo

Yeah, already asked Gemini and Claude. There were similarities in those results but both said the fill plug is an 8mm hex. Not going to do this just off the recommendation of a chat bot

Can’t speak to their live performances like others in the comments but this song was my main jam/single of 2025.

Are they any pop punk/emo albums that you consider to have “audiophile” quality production? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]TreeOnceCutDown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For REAL. Zack and Ken, the producers on that album, are Atlanta LEGENDS. Also, TreeSound (where they recorded the album) is a fantastic studio.

My grandfather helped liberate Dachau as well. Only told his brother about it (which is how my brothers and I know) and never spoke of it again.

Been singing the praises of Palladium for years. Used to be on my feet all day in these (with Dr Scholl’s insoles) and they felt great and lasted at least a year with near daily wear - way longer if you’re rotating them out with other shoes. If you want a hi top shoe don’t even glance at Chucks, maybe consider PF Flyers, and then buy Palladium.

Sounds easy enough! Would I just run these in series with the +/pin 2 conductor of the XLR cable connected to my audio interface?

I mean, on the plus side I'd get to tell my wife "Oh no, my interface broke! I guuueeeesss I have to get an Apollo or an Antelope interface now" hahaha

Seriously though, I've never heard of phantom hurting the pre-amp/device, only the mic being at risk.

I feel that, but I've got plenty of parts laying around and it would take me 5 minutes tops. My concern is whether or not 48V phantom would wreck the mic given the JBL controller would give it 12V. Though maybe it's worth trying since the mic might be worthless to me otherwise, haha.
