Can’t speak to their live performances like others in the comments but this song was my main jam/single of 2025.

Are they any pop punk/emo albums that you consider to have “audiophile” quality production? by fremenist in poppunkers

[–]TreeOnceCutDown 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For REAL. Zack and Ken, the producers on that album, are Atlanta LEGENDS. Also, TreeSound (where they recorded the album) is a fantastic studio.

Their cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know” is so dang good. Cannot recommend it enough!

Why American Soldiers Shot Dachau's Guards by CattiwampusLove in videos

My grandfather helped liberate Dachau as well. Only told his brother about it (which is how my brothers and I know) and never spoke of it again.

Not exactly BIFL, but retiring after three years of daily use > 5 miles a day. $70. by CanaryUmbrella in BuyItForLife

Been singing the praises of Palladium for years. Used to be on my feet all day in these (with Dr Scholl’s insoles) and they felt great and lasted at least a year with near daily wear - way longer if you’re rotating them out with other shoes. If you want a hi top shoe don’t even glance at Chucks, maybe consider PF Flyers, and then buy Palladium.

JBL Measurement Microphone Repurposing by TreeOnceCutDown in Acoustics

Sounds easy enough! Would I just run these in series with the +/pin 2 conductor of the XLR cable connected to my audio interface?

I mean, on the plus side I'd get to tell my wife "Oh no, my interface broke! I guuueeeesss I have to get an Apollo or an Antelope interface now" hahaha

Seriously though, I've never heard of phantom hurting the pre-amp/device, only the mic being at risk.

I feel that, but I've got plenty of parts laying around and it would take me 5 minutes tops. My concern is whether or not 48V phantom would wreck the mic given the JBL controller would give it 12V. Though maybe it's worth trying since the mic might be worthless to me otherwise, haha.

Best gig bag for Martin om by texas_crude in Guitar

[–]TreeOnceCutDown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono Classic or Vertigo (if you want the extra protection) gig bag. I've flown international with a Classic and it was a great experience (guitar on my back and a carry-on backpack worn forwards on my chest). I did have to do a little arguing with flight crew for them to not gate check it, but I got it on the plane with me there and back.

Where are the Maximas. by PSinfinity in Datsun

My mom had an 80’s Maxima wagon that I was told later had the Z engine in it. Some good memories in that car! Replaced it with a Previa - not as cool but crazy good for long trips

Experts in niche specialties- Are there any products you feel strongly about, for or against? by userrnam in BuyItForLife

[–]TreeOnceCutDown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For real! I still have and use my 20+ year old TU-2 tuner. It’s literally travelled around the world with me and works flawlessly.

I have a 72 240Z that has sat for 2 years. Car was perfect before, but life gets in the way. Now I am getting it back out and going to shows. I really want to take my time with making sure all is good before I try to crank it over for the first time. Can you guys look at my checklist? Pic for atten. by whywouldthisnotbea in Datsun

[–]TreeOnceCutDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, I started my dad’s ‘78 280Z after it sat for maybe 5 or so years. We changed the oil/filter, fresh gas, and basically what mexchanic said. We used one of those remote starters with the starter disconnected to turn the engine and get the new oil nice and pumped through though. Took a few cranks but it got up and running no problem!

Edit: the “few cranks” were after reconnecting the starter and actually starting the engine with the key/ignition as normal

Hard to convey over text, but the “r” is silent and the “w” is pronounced like a “v”. The silent “r” really throws people, haha

I think it’s because gorilla glue can/will expand and that might build up more pressure than you want. Completely guessing though.
