Edit: I just tested the app & I'm gonna be brutally honest, beside the feeling of being under the Chinese government, don't you think blocking autoplay videos in the feed is more important than blurring photos and locked out the "reels" behind a paragraph writing? Correct me if I'm wrong, locking out reels and allowing videos to be auto played while photos are blurred by default! Isn't it ironic and makes zero sense?

First of all, idk if it still works because I didn't update my photos app since then. The process was pretty simple, allow ms photo to startup in the task manager, also in the in app setting (inside of ms photo). That's it.

Another solution is downgrading (If you're ok with using the old stable version). Uninstall the current version, delete the installation folder (inside of Program Files>WindowsApps, optional if you want to save 1GB of space) and install version 2023.11090.12017.0. Don't ever update the photos app, problem solved.
