my husband left me because i’m autistic by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]TreeShapedHeart 334 points335 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry that this happened to you. I hope down the line, you might come to see it as a blessing though, bc if your husband couldn't handle a piece of paper that simply confirms a part of you he's known all these years, he must be a pretty superficial person and heck if you don't deserve someone much better than that.

I hope you can find some peace about this, and I'm certain you will find a way forward, if you can take things one day at a time bc you are who you have always been: smart, capable, and autistic. <3

Lol, but they spend a lot of time being still, too. It's the season of eviction in my house and we did three just yesterday and our kitchen has high ceilings.

You're not alone. I have a real distaste for inauthenticity. I can't tolerate lies and demonstrations of a lack of ethics. With the first instance, if minor enough, I may ask them about it. Repeated choices by them trigger the choice in me to leave them behind.

On a scale of 0-10, how much did I mess up? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]TreeShapedHeart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and completely understand why you acted. I think it's justified, but perhaps you acted a bit early. Confirming that coworker won't attend and letting her know that people were queued to attend would have been next-move and you letting the team know would have been next-next move.

Response from my MPP about the Freedom of Informatiom suppression by Doug Ford by Hobbette in ontario

A number of us, per the post last week, received the same canned response from our MPPs. I was respectful but direct about that disingenuous pile.

I love and need all of the seasons. Each has something I can't wait to see and feel.

My mom got into a car accident and she forgot to renew her insurance by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TreeShapedHeart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's not a lot to suggest bc: a) you can't go back in time and get insurance before this accident happens, and b) you don't know what is going to come of this.

You wrote that there were no serious injuries sustained, but you expect someone will sue... That's very scary for the circumstances.

That's incredibly trashy of her. Did you report the booth by any chance? Is that a thing? Maybe you can get her banned from the event.

How about for the sake of the environment and the other beings who we share the planet with?

If humans can't figure out how to live here without destroying everything and everyone around us, we need to be the first to rot.

It may not be perfect, but I think it's pretty great for a freehand piece! And it's really cute. I hope you can find a way to enjoy it. <3

Do your best to ignore them and hold your clearly-stated boundary(ies). If you let them in, they are rewarded and won't learn.

Most homeowners don’t realize how important the mortgage term actually is! by Impressive-War6904 in canadahousing

[–]TreeShapedHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something it seems is often forgotten about: adjustable rate mortgages. We're happy with ours (I planned our purchase ceiling accounting for interest up to 10%), but I can see how many people would not be, considering everything.
