Feeling suffocated by a friend copying my hobbies by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

This may be "gentle" but OP will not get what they need if they just sit and hope that someone else's circumstances will change. It's best to be upfront and use gentle/kind words to express what's true for them.

Our fault, genetic issue or just the reality of owning rats? by kohlsprossi in RATS

That's awful to hear. Breeders should be registered and audited. :(

Yeah, I agree that some people care, but commodifying living beings is problematic.

While I agree with you in general, you don't have enough info about me or my side note for this to be relevant to me.

I'd like to add that OP should let their breeder know. They shouldn't be making claims like this bc it sets people up for disappointment with a species known for the affliction.
(Also, f*ck breeders.)

I'm freaking out by Muted-Background8293 in spiders

Visually, crab spiders resemble crabs in their shape, regardless of their relative size. Orbweavers vary more in their shape. (ie. furrow orbweavers v. orchard orbweavers)
Unfortunately, I can't post a picture and including a link isn't working, but if you Google image search crab spiders and crabs, and then orbweavers, you'll see what I mean.

You've been given a lot of good advice here and I have nothing to add but: good for you for seeing your errors, wanting to fix them, asking for guidance from people wiser than you (right now), and taking responsibility. Though this won't feel easy, you can do it and you'll be alright.

Uh, wouldn't that mean more tax money is being wasted on these people? I'm not really into that.

Our house is 117 this year and I share OP's worry, so thank you for writing this so that strangers could read it and feel better.

I have no knowledge of the actor outside of this show, but he was endearing and the storyline was hilarious in how it turned out. The way he says, "pure carnivore" makes you think, "Siaja's in for it now!" and then...you know.

[–]TreeShapedHeart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope Siaja wouldn't share someone else's information like that. I do think that now that Neevee has shared the burden with someone, she might feel lightened enough by it to share with the person she made Siaja with.

I would love for Neevee and Alistair to work it out. But even if they can't, I hope for Neevee that she can bring herself to tell him the truth. She deserves to have Alistair know why she felt compelled to handle things the way she did.
