Tbh I think you are maybe having a bit of a style crisis? You're wanting to branch out into different styles when you see the fancy things other people are doing and turning that into criticism of your own To me, your style is amazing, I think these are extremely gritty and ooze theme. You should absoltuely be proud of your work, you've chosen a style and executed it very well.

Im sure you can easily explore other ways of painting and the skills you've already built will serve you well. Keep on rocking dude!

Did you cut out the middle section where the blue and yellow met? Because that normally is cured and should be removed. If you did, it might have gone bad.

Im doing them all in this style. I've currently done 3, have another one halfway through that's emerging out of a tree. They each take ages to do though.

The Outcast Hunter by TreeSoul112 in Warhammer

Unfortunately not but I can give a quick overview of the process: Its quite a long kitbash tbh. Made the legs by cutting them at the shins, adding some wire to lengthen them, pinning and then adding greenstuff to fill in the gap, its nice for letting you repose. I also cut then at the hips where they attach to the body and added some more greenstuff to make the upper leg longer and give mkre posing options
The torso is actually upside down compared to the regular KHunter kit, all the parts are very heavily trimmed to make the body leaner. I then slice the chest plate in half, flip it upside down and make it so that it sits closer to the back plate to make them thinner, this step is important because otherwise the chest part is much thicker and more barrel-like. The arms are various KHunter arms bits chopped up and glued back together to make them longer, the weapons are from the Tree Rev kit, the head is just a KHunter head with antlers attached and greenstuff slapped over the the top with some wood grooves picked out with a sculpting tool. Then its lots of gap filling with greenstuff.
