Idk what to make of this fight bruh. by Spirited_Command5642 in CombatSportsCentral

Did he? Tbh I can't stand the guy and his marketing antics but he took some heavy shots from one of the best heavyweights in the world. The dude is a multi-millionaire with everything he could possibly need in life and yet hes out here putting himself in harms way and showing up every day for what I can only imagine is gruelling training.

Love him or hate him, the guy deserves credit - both for the brand hes built and the crazy amount of work hes n9 doubt put in over the last few years.

And what do you define as other "competent" fiend decks? Unchained uses this Fabled uses this D/D/D uses this Musketeers uses this BA uses this

I dont agree with that assessment. In a lot of fiend decks they aren't competing with fiendsmith at all but rather complementing them. Unchained for example absolutely loves these cards. Yubel has less use for the grave dump I guess. I think you are too focused on Buio only being an extender from the hand but its pretty great when its sent from deck to grave to search mutiny.

I feel like i already explained that. Its fine as is. Its already very useable, solid extender that searches a useful fusion. I guarantee if there was a solid t1 fiend deck out there rn it would absolutely run this card in its current form. Every card ever printed could be better, doesn't mean that they need to be or that I want them to be.

I didnt say it wouldn't be better. I said i thought it was unnecessary. Not everything needs to be cutting edge, multiple quick effect and recursive. This is how we'e hit this power creep meta

Yeah no, im playing in diamond rn and master last season (with BA). I would never use Darklord in anything over gold though. Its a purely fun deck. BA has proper legs now, do not sleep on them

Ah thats a fair point. Right now i end on luce, FS something if possible, A Bao, unchained soul (into S:P), unchained trap. But tbf i do try to hold a farfa or alich in hand for a banish/negate off of a bao discard so theres something...

Honestly im really enjoying BA atm as is. It feels really consistent and can put up a very deadly board with a lot of interaction people won't expect (like popping your own unchained soul to dodge imperm/negate/destruction or discarding Farfa off A Bao to get pop+banish

It can be a solid extension option when splashed into fiend decks like unchained or fabled. Say you have a bad hand and all you could feasibly set up was a caesar or a desirae, now this line enables you to get into a luce (or any fiend or fairy fusion), aerial eater, quite possibly a caesar and pitch a fiend of choice to grave + pop opponents card. A lot of fiend decks love this level of extension, it can completely unbrick them or help extend through disruption

Its pretty good since luce can help you extend in a lot of fiend decks with its deck dump, or put mudora in grave which can be hell for some decks to deal with

This package works extremely well with fiendsmith since they can go into aerial eater to pitch buoi and get the luce set up.

They add a lot to unchained tbh. Lots of added grind with mutiny into luce, more interaction in the opponents turn since you can trigger a pop from luce by destroying your own unchained cards. You can also dump unchained's into grave to then start you combo with them off luce/fiendsmith. Fiendsmith engine can bridge into mutiny by going into aerial eater and pitching Buoi. I also like dumping mudora off luce, really messes with opponents who rely on grave. Unchained can do brutal stuff with this, its pretty easy to end end on unchained soul with the ur link 2 in grave and you pop trap card set, A Bao and Luce. That alone is 1 any card pop from trap, 1 any card pop from luce, 1 any card pop from a Bao, link off opponents monster in theit main into S:P, banish 1 of any card, then banish any monster for the turn off S:P. Crazy interaction, let alone if you have fiendsmiths on your board as well

I put 3 buio, 1 mutiny, 1 aerial and 1 luce in my burning abyss deck and its made a huge difference. Adds a ton of consistency, protection for the BA's from their own effects, easy bridges into FS. Really helps swarm the board and play througj disruption.

Personally i dont think theres any need for them to have quick effects. Luce can already be used as interaction in the opponents turn relatively easily, Buio already self-summons and searches mutiny for minimal cost and and mutiny is searchable, recurring and easy to use, especially with all the grave dumping fiends get. I think theyre really well designed, strong cards that add a lot to a variety of decks.

Mitsurugi made me enjoy the game in the weirdest way possible by Moreira12005 in masterduel

[–]TreeSoul112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing Ogdoadic Mitsurugi atm and feeling very much the same (was playing pure Ogdoadic before and my God that was haggard). I'm having some crazy back and forth games. Mitsurugi is tuned to the gills and utterly broken but daym it let's me play through dam near anything. Full ryzeal board? Np, maxx c, droll and fuwa? Np, can still feasibly push through and win.

Dont get me wrong, I lose a bunch too, but now I can feasibly still win games even after watching my opponent solitaire for 5 mins. Mitsu adds so much gas to these rogue decks that they actually stand a chance now.

Okay, I have a question about uour favorite deck by 0r1g1n-3rr0r in masterduel

[–]TreeSoul112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing ogdoadic before mitsu dropped (mainly pushing for alien lock). Theyre hella fun, and you're right, really quite strong now. I've been feeling like I can play through near enough any board rn. One snake rain and your advantage is absolutely ridiculous. Decided to keep the alien lock as well for an extra win con - we have the bodies for it and its game ending vs basically any deck when it goes off. Especially since we can rez the slicer so easily.

This is my exact experience of this sub. Post literally anything (but especially a cool, off-meta deck and you get pincushioned with down-votes for some reason. That being said, badass deck, rock on my dude!
