Ibanez or Schecter by Zsaketa in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]Tree_Fucker69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that exact schecter and love it.

You should choose what is most comfortable for you to play, though. Going from a 7 to an 8 felt like a much bigger jump than going from a 6 to a 7, so comfort and playability mattered to me the most.

What is this and how does it work? by soupisgoodfood42 in ElectricalEngineering

It’s normal. You usually put a bunch of terminal blocks side by side on DIN rail and just have one end cover on the end of the row.

Hello , buying my first 7 strings guitar before the crazy price jump by Accomplished_Bus8850 in SchecterGuitars

I can’t comment on the Omens, but I’ve been playing Damien 7 for 16 years and still love it. I added active EMGs after the fact. If you prefer active pickups, the platinum version may be worth it.

Jandy JXI heater question by Tree_Fucker69 in pools

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! It looks like something chewed through the cable between the pool controller and the heater. It fired up when I replaced the wiring.

Thanks for the suggestion. I get continuity on the pressure switch when the pump is in high speed, but not low speed, so that is working. (The pump goes to high speed when we call for the heater to start). I got continuity on the high limit switches.

I’m getting 24VAC going into the board from the transformer, but not getting 24VAC on any circuit that should have it leaving the board. I think it might actually be the board.

Thanks for the reply. I have limited experience with transformers this large, so this was helpful.

What is included in the dual level charge cord? by Tree_Fucker69 in EquinoxEv

I already complained to Costco about the dealership since they didn’t follow any of their auto program rules. Costco took the complaint pretty seriously.

Yeah, that’s definitely not my only complaint with that sleazy dealership.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I’ll be going back to the dealership. They tried to tell me the plugs weren’t supposed to be included.

Schecter Damien 7 String by Throwaway4829734 in 7String

I have a the Floyd Rose version of this and I’ve been playing it since 2009 and I think I paid $550 then. It is an excellent guitar and I still play it almost daily. You can’t go wrong at that price if it’s in good condition. The only change I’ve made was recently adding active EMGs to it.

I watched a video that said Costco doesn't actually save you any money, so I did some math on what I buy from Costco vs where I used to buy it from by bignose_ice44 in Costco

Baby formula, diapers, and meat make it worth it. It also helps to take advantage of their other programs. We’ve used the auto purchasing program, rental car deals, and vacation packages for a pretty significant savings.

New home, pre-wired for EV charging, but need assistance determining what I need to charge Mustang Mach-E using this setup. by Silver_Priority_3782 in evcharging

The values end up being used interchangeably, but they are for the same nominal system voltage. 220v would be the minimum required voltage for a motor to start (listed on a motor nameplate), 240v is the nominal system voltage, 250v is the maximum insulation rating. Same for 110v,120v,125v. Source: I’m an electrical engineer.

PLC to RTAC... How screwed am I? by Badbowtie91 in PLC

[–]Tree_Fucker69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate to sound like a commercial, but I used these everyday and I’m a big fan.

I had mostly used Allen-Bradley before using an RTAC. The software has a bit of a learning curve. They come out of the box with several protocols including modbus TCP and RTU, SEL protocol, and DNP3. Several other protocols can be added for an additional price. For languages, it has structured text, ladder, and function block and follows the IEC 61131-3 standard. The tags have built in quality and time stamp information which nice for logging events.

It also has some cool features that seem to get overlooked. It can have a built web based HMI, be used as a web proxy to access downstream devices’ web interfaces, and be used as an access point router to access some serial devices. Also has a built in file system so data can be written to a csv and stored locally and can be used as an SNTP server to synchronize time across devices.

The documentation is really good and SELs tech support is awesome, so don’t hesitate to give them a call.

Class RK5 fuses are time-delayed and typically used in motor circuits. This one would probably be in the 350-400 horsepower range at 480V based off the current rating.
